It can be, but nowhere soon.
There was recently update for backgrounds on PC that also removes gray edges completely. I don't know if this will work after downscaling.
And don't expect it it anytime soon, I have other plans first.
I just finished the game thanks to this mod.
I never saw any issue until the final level, one screen was choppy. I have a screenshot of the affect area.

hi, thank you so much for your incredible work !!! i have a question. Can i edite your mod or add another file to the game in order to eliminate that grey bars ? i hate that bars and im crazy enought to work on that xd thank you so much again !
I'm always amazed with your work Masagrator. Hope you come back to this one for some updates one day been playing FF9 on the Switch lately using this mod and it's amazing. Would love to see more mods come to the classics on Switch like FF9, FF8, FF6, FF5, Chrono Cross Remaster, etc. Keep up the epic work, appreciate you!
