Hello everyone,

Desperatly trying to get Any cheats working in Zelda Twlight Princess PAL version. Ive read this thread now for 2 days solid now and only just realised you CANT do it with JGecko U (unless im mistaken) and you have to use SD Cheats method. So I have a found some cheats for this particular pal version of the game (@MichiS97) kindly uploaded his on page 51 here. I have saved to a notepad file AZAP01.xml, this is in the Codes folder of JGecko U. I'm trying to load code list to generte a GCTU file, to then let JGecko extract this to my SD card. I understand it will auto then boot the codes, im getting the attached error message. Any help from anyone would be massively apparecaited...! Going round in circles here. I have Hitachi CFW loaded and can load games and homebrew fine!

So uh, I just downloaded JGecko U onto my new PC and a few seconds after I launch it my PC just shuts down completely??

I should mention that I've been using the tool on my old PC for years. I don't know what's going on :D

"Please give me an idiot-friendly step-by-step written guide for JGecko U codes:"

Thank you for calling people who are not technical "idiots".

As for the topic... Is there any way to run Wii U cheats without the need of a PC?

Hi. I'm trying to set this up to run Zelda Breath of the Wind. I've followed the instruction step by step, installed the wiiu folder and all subsidiary files and folders on a 4 terabyte external hard drive (where I run games) but when I added the path and click the Connect button I get this error:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Wii U with working TCP Gecko server not found

Can you tell me what I need to do to fix this? Thanks!

Hi, I seem to be having some trouble with TCPgecko as it crashes my console everytime I try to install it. The usual routine goes like this: launch the homebrew launcher, launch Mocha CFW SD, get sent back to Wii U Menu, launch homebrew launcher again, launch TCPgecko, and finally press X to install the codes. My screen has been blacking out and having the console crash after I press X to install the codes, and I was wondering if anyone knew why? Also I'm attempting to use codes for Super Mario 3D World in case that helps in some way.

Latest Version of JGeckoU seems to contain malware now. Doesn't let me run programs like Fiddler or Wireshark and just shutsdown the computer or BlueScreens it. Shame on you @BullyWiiPlaza. Please remove my Cheat Table Converter as long as these malware routines exists.

Good I have an old version without all this malware code.
For all who wants to use an old version without all the bullshit donator features and malwarecode downlaod the attached version to this post. Had to split it into two files because it is slightly to big.

Hi guys,
I really need some help 'cause I spend way to much time tinkering with this. I am trying to get the latest JGecko working with the European version of Zelda: The WindWaker which I've downloaded from the Wii USB Helper. These are the steps that I took to try to get it to work:
  • I downloaded the JGecko updater from https://bit.ly/2T0hhOQ
  • I ran the program and got all of the files which I placed in the correct location on my SD.
  • I put the SD in my Wii U, ran Haxchi en loaded in TCP Gecko from the homebrew screen.
  • I booted up the windwaker game and loaded my save.
  • I ran JGecko on the computer and connected to my Wii U succesfully.
  • Then I looked up some codes on https://bit.ly/3or5hBp and copied the 'Link Can Swim Forever [Codejunkies]' code.
  • I clicked 'add code' in JGecko and saved it.
  • When I clicked on send code my game freezes.
I am using the latest version of JGecko and TCP Gecko which I got from the updater program file, still it freezes my Wii U everytime I try to send a cheatcode through.

java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: socket write error
This means that your Wii U reset the connection from the TCP Socket. What I can suggest doing is trying again and see if it yields any new results - if nothing changes after a few tries try using a different version of TCP Gecko, I have a few in mind that I can provide. Secondly the newest version of JGecko is very iffy when it comes to restrictive connections (which seems to be a constant when this error appears) Something I can suggest is switching to a slightly older version of JGecko; which I can also provide.

If none of these works then the only way to fix it would be one of two things, setting up your Wii U and PC on a Wired connection, as it could be a case of network instability. OR put your Wii U in a DMZ so there won't be as many connectivity restrictions. If you / your network admin doesn't feel comfortable with allowing a device to be in a DMZ (which is understandable) Then make sure this port is allowed to have traffic run through TCP Port 7331

Another option would be to use the Python port of JGecko, I have it stored and documented here: https://github.com/Korozin/JGecko_Remade-in_Python

Which brings up another troubleshooting thought - do any injectors / code scripts that require connection work? If so.. Does FTPiiU work as well? Because they all use some sort of TCP Connection - it may just be a case of JGecko U specifically not wanting to establish said connection.
