removing the Triggers from switch was a stupid idea, it ruined Trails Rising for me [even though i can use Gamecube controller to fix it]

i don't see that game being fun without the R Trigger Functionality it had

The original reporting site (VGC) added onto their rumor, with the new details having been edited into the OP. Now Venturebeat is also backing the rumors as well, with their own claim of that the new Paper Mario game will likely be a "return to roots" RPG. That would make sense, since there's no competition RPG Mario series anymore, with the death of the Mario & Luigi developers. Still seems farfetched though.

Ugh; Sunshine, Galaxy and 3D World? Hard pass.

Nintendo's never been able to top Super Mario 64 DS, in my book; each of those three games have numerous utterly-frustrating Shine Sprites/Power Stars/flags to reach. Galaxy reduces Mario's HP to 3 for no justifiable reason, and all three games have impossible-to-control surfing mechanics, while Galaxy and 3D World have stupidly-strict timed missions. Oh, and Galaxy and 3D World also feature Rosalina quite prominently, which I cannot stand; she's never done anything of note other than stand in one place on either the Observatory or the Faceship - fuck her; she should've been left behind in the Galaxy duo for good, just like how so many better characters have languished, locked to only their specific Paper Mario games. 3D World not only makes Rosalina playable (which is stupid in itself), but also Peach; she's better off as kidnap fodder and the main goal of the game than as a playable character.

Odyssey was a major improvement on these three games, but it still kept the stupid 3-HP cap instead of reverting to the superior 8, and still had several utterly-frustrating Moons; there's still nothing that beats 64 DS.

Just port over Super Paper Mario; other than 64 DS and 3D Land, that's my favourite Mario game.

you didn't play the original game, not going to bother arguing with someone that doesn't know what pressure sensitive Trigger meant for Mario Sunshine, the game was built around the Game Cube controller and its R trigger Sensitivity to manipulate how you moved and cleared your path

the game cube was the only system that used it
there is no point in developing or porting Racing Simulation games without it

you have no idea what you are talking about if you think the pro Controller has it

the Feature exist if you plug a gamecube controller and can make Trails Raising fun to and meaningful to play on Switch

...Are you confused with the site posts made by the hundreds of thousands of users here, rather than the news section? Cuz I think you might be, otherwise there's not really any other way to explain it. You can't just slap fake news on everything and expect it to be a good enough accusation on its own. Otherwise, I'd love to see a news post of mine that wasn't sourced with information from the official PR/YouTube/company statement itself (not counting the like, three posts I've ever made with very large [RUMOR] tags. Or do our reviews/recommends articles count as fake news to you, since they aren't just fact sheets from the manufacturer?

That said better than year of gold nonsense, and I would love to see Sunshine revisited even with the Mario 64 DS treatment as far as extras (though with good controls of course). If they did it properly, leant into the jetpackless levels, a few more minigames (see mecha bowser rails fight) and those levels that made creative use of it I might change from "Switch has no games" to "Switch has one game".

lol just becuase you cant controll water pressure doesnt ruin the game at all lol, play sunshine on nintendont withour an r trigger sensitive controllerand its amazing game still.
that was just a tiny thing which takes nothing away from the game itself

Now by remaster... do they mean a faithful remaster...? Or is that going to be dumbed down so that "new" gamers can play it?
I love SM64 and I love Sunshine, but after Odyssey I'm very worried.

And yes I'm aware there's challenge in Odyssey after you beat the story but you shouldn't have to play a dozen hours before facing your first challenge.

preety sure they will keep everything the same and just hd resolution/fps/texture quality.

kinda like WWhd and TPHD and so on, they are remasters not remakes.

mario games were never hard and i doubt they will change anything except some qol improvements, also majora mask is fine what they chnaged is almost nothing.
