There's no way the PS3 is getting emulated on the PS5 unless they are using some GODDAMN BLACK MAGIC. Wait... Why did I type this?
I love how microsoft is doing the complete opposite. each time something new about the Xbox series X is made or a new feature is added, it's immediately leaked to the public/shown to the public. it's like theyve got nothing to hide lmao, eveyone know's it'll suck
It is possible for them, they just don't want to.
I mean, The ps3 is a 14 year old console and the PS5 is rumored to have extremely powerful hardware. plus the PS3 output at 720p and if the PS5 can handle much more demanding games at an even higher resolution it doesn't seem very unlikely

Why? PS3 emulation on PC is running very well these days, RPCS3 is sitting at 50% playable so far, I see no reason why Sony, who designed the PS3 and knows it inside and out, couldn't develop an emulator on the PS5. Especially when it's using Zen 2 for it's CPU, shouldn't be any problem whatsoever.
As to the news, seems kinda pointless if they weren't gonna share at least some info soon, so I expect an announcement is coming in the next few weeks.
I luv sony playstation but no colors in the logo thts fkin dull and soneone should be sacked - should be a petition to bring back the original ps logo colors
Very excited for the PS5. Crossing fingers for extensive backwards compatibility. As long as all PS4 games work on the console (and I know they've "confirmed" backwards compatibility for PS4 but they weren't very cut and dry with it being all of the library) then I'll preorder it. I still have a launch PS4 so I'll see some upgrades on my favorite PS4 titles in any case.
