Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair announced

Playtonic Games have announced a new entry in the Yooka-Laylee series - a game that started life on Kickstarter back in 2015.

Unlike its predecessor, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a 2D side-scrolling platformer that shares several similarities with the new Donkey Kong Country games including the music for the game again being composed by industry veterans David Wise and Grant Kirkhope.

Yooka and Laylee are back for a brand new adventure! Get ready for the ultimate challenge - the Impossible Lair! Capital B has created a Hivemind device and used it to enslave the toughest bees in the Royal Stingdom - the Royal Beettalion Guard!

Liberate them from chapters filled with only the tastiest 2D platforming trimmings, and take on a 3D overworld that contains a wealth of puzzles, secrets and some familiar faces!

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is releasing this year on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Steam.

Still waiting for Rayman 4 :'(

Rayman 4 was technically Rayman Origins and it was quite a good game. There is also Rayman Legends that is a direct sequels to Origins with a hundred years timeskip.

And that basically means you can now put "Cat" as Rayman species since he took a hundred year nap.

I mean, take Rayman 2, it directly starts with the whole pirates plot that came out of nowhere, and it starts with the pirates having won.

At least Origin and Legends have some continuity going on.

Is there a port of Rayman first three games for the Switch or PS4? Having to go for PS1 for the first game, PS2 for the second game and PC for the third is annoying.
