I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. But it baffles me how anyone could fill a 256GB SD card with 3DS games
I mean okay, I've got full romsets for retro consoles like the NES but that takes up about 700MB. Why would you pay ~200 Dollars for a 400GB mSD card to fill it up with games you're never gonna play? Sorry for my ignorance , but I just don't understand those peopleSome pirates just want every single game.
Not that they're ever going to play it.
The ones that say they do are lying.

Is that a thing? If so, I wanna try it!nb4 people ask for a usb to sd adapter so they can use a terabyte portable drive with it
i don't the 3ds even has enough power to give electricity to the hddAlso, I'm looking into that USB HDD to SD Card thing. It would be something cool to try and I'd love a 1 TB HDD for my 3DS
Isn’t there a 300 tile limit on the 3ds? So you couldn’t install them all anyway
That's Nintendo's official stance. They guarantee support of up to 32 GB as the maximum capacity. However, a lot of 3DS users have already been using cards bigger than that using 128/200/256 GB cards. Theoretically, the 3DS should be able to handle 2TB (yes, two terabytes or ~2000 GB) under the FAT32 format.
