Gaming Salvaging save files of EUR leaked version for retail USA copy

So is it region free or not, why is there conflicting info? If it isn't how easy is Saviine to convert the file, do I need to download an app on my computer?

When we say region free we mean you can use the same save, but you have to change the TITLE ID of the save so It can be used by the USA version of the game... otherwise wont recognize it.

It won't work because EUR BOTW TitleID is different from the USA one. Just dump it using saviine, rename it and inject. Voilá.

So I need to install Saviine to both my PC and Wii you, run the dump.bat file, launch mocha then saviine through the homebrew launcher, then launch the game and dump? Uninstall the game, reinstall the USA version then use the inject.bat?

EXACTLY!!

Don't forget to change the TITLE ID before you put the save inside de INJECT folder...

You forgot the "copy save from dump folder to inject folder, rename it to USA BOTW" part. But yes, pretty much that.

You do know the switch was released 7 hours ago and the small amount of people who got it are playing it right? I'm pretty sure cracking the Switch save encryption is not on anyone's mind right now.

The WiiU says there's around 64mb of savedata, but Saviine only gives me a dump of 6mb. Is that normal?

I'm just going to continue using the EUR version if there's no real benefits of switching to US.

No need to run signature patches and, in my case, LatAm dub.

Alright, it's normal. I was wondering if this is what was happening, and it is: the Wii U simply creates 64mb of save data, even if its not fully used.
Only dumping and injecting 6mb of data seems to have done the trick. The game and my saves are working. I'm keeping a backup (on USB) of the EUR data just in case, copied from the WiiU, but this seems to be good.

Of course someone would come along and not get that I'm mostly joking.
I'm not seriously expecting someone to break the save system of a new console that quickly. And even when we get to that point, the chances of someone making a Wii U -> Switch save transfer tool for BotW is probably not very likely.

There. Was that serious and realistic enough for you?
