They are referring to installing CIAs to the actual NAND itself. Installing content to the SD is usually okay.
Oh, that's a relief. Ah, one more question: Since Ninjhax2.0 isn't a kernel exploit, how/where do I get the QR codes for 1.1beta now? Also, would the version 2 files work (for the micro sd), or do I need to download 1.1 files too, along with 1.1 QR codes?

Sorry for the noobish question , probably answered before .. The idea of CFW means a replacement of the console OFW that autoboots by itself even if the console is restarted . Is it the case with Pasta CFW or it needs Cubic Ninja every time you need to boot into it ?

It requires Cubic Ninja every time you turn on the console.

People who used NHax+ Pasta , how long do you think you can use Pasta without needing NHax in the console ? We are more friends with 3DS but only one cartridge

Install this and ninjhax to your cubic ninja cartridge and yes a cubic ninja cia for gateway will work it won't work the other way around however.

so this works via gateway emunand?? I thought that was still WIP.

doesn't matter anyway..my GW Emunand version doesn't support Ninjhax 1.0

No. You've been spoiled by the PSP/Wii scenes methinks.

You are booting into an environment in which patches have been used to modify (eg. customise) NATIVE_FIRM.

It is literally, by definition, Custom Firmware.

Honestly, I think the days of hooking into bootstrap and loading hacks at startup are behind us. It's not impossible by any means. But it'd be extremely difficult and it's highly improbable we'll ever see it happen.

Last I checked, Wii U hackers were discussing some sort of emuNAND implementation as well.

You only need access to Ninjhax if you power down your 3DS or play DS/GBA games.

I never turn mine off, I just leave it in sleepmode and have it on charge when not in use.

Pasta is booting to a black screen..
So I called Nintendo and had them transfer my NNID to my New 3DS (on 9.0), I had to give them my serial #.
Since then, whenever I load PastaCFW, it boots to a black screen. How do I fix this?

I was a bit shocked that I had to use the DS profile hack everytime but within time I got used to launching the CFW. I only bought my 3ds because of CFW and at first I expected it to work like all the previous consoles that had been hacked before. Xbox Classic had a boot up mod too, wii, psp, its just something that to me is needed to fully complete the mod. I dont really care if they figure out how to mod 9.3+ but I would be ECSTATIC over a boot up CFW like the good ol' days

Unless a singing bug is found in the very early boot up process, this will not happen as Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have learned from their mistakes.

I would say that Nintendo is the more likely to NOT have a signing bug on early boot process, since they had the major Fu***p on the WII boot1 strcmp function, which totally broke wide open the WII security since anyone could effectively sign stuff for the Old WII until a new HW revision fixed that bug (but that was way to late at that point anyways)

??? This is a weird bug, I don't know if someone knows how it happened and how to fix that but if I was you I will format my 3DS and reinstall PASTA.
