Can you guys make a limited more safe to use version of rxtools with pasta for the avarage user as an alternative to the original one? I haven't tried rx tools myself because I'm a new 3ds user but I've read many bricks have been caused by pushing the wrong button on a nand writing option or something similar. Thanks in advance!

It already exists, simply don't use the tools, rather just stick to the cfw itself...the tools are what usually is causing problems because of people trying to inject stuff into sysnand and whatnot.

Sounds simple enough. I still think that having a developer mode option on the settings would be better if it's possble but if it's not then having a big warning should do the work. Thanks for answering.

Plus if you use rxTools on its own as of now, it autoboots into emuNAND. Not sure what the Pasta Crew will do with that but yeah.

My rxMD theme will look like this.
By the way, who's making the default theme?

Quick question, is it possible to launch rxTools with a 9.2 O3DS using the downgraded MSET or it is impossible atm? (I know that this feature is available on other CFW but we've got to use a flashcart and 1. I don't want to leave rxTools, 2. I don't have a DS flashcart except my old Supercard DS One...)

I'm using Cubic Ninja atm but that's slower than DS profile exploit..

If it isn't possible atm, do you plan to make it work a day or another? Otherwise, is there a firmware version that allow us to run games that were used with the last encryption key (such as Pokemon ORAS) AND that allow us to launch rxTools through the downgraded MSET?

Thank you for your help and keep up the good work! :yay:

Of course, I'm going to release this theme once the structure is definite and we have a working prototype of the new rxTools ;)
BTW, there is already a version for Pasta: http://gbatemp.net/threads/pasta-cfw-custom-theme-thread.391350/page-3#post-5553475
I dont use Pasta yet, not been keeping up with it but idk if it has emuNAND support and can run without Cubic Ninja (dont have it lel)

that theme is really nice, but the only thing buggin me is how you styled the naming for sys and emunand.
I more commonly see it as 'sysNAND' and 'emuNAND', not in all capitals (sorry im just being fussy;-;)

It doesn't support emuNAND but you can use MSET on o3DS 4.x to run it.
I wrote SYSNAND because sysNAND does not look very good with Roboto :)

Looking neat so far, can't wait to test the final product, and open to test since I have a hardmod.

@AlbertoSONIC A neat feature that would be usefull is to launch into sysNAND WITHOUT NATIVE_FIRM BLOCK, so users can update to 9.X using sysUpdater without any risk to brick their console, like it was with pasta.

BTW I succefully updated to 9.0.0 using MSET pasta and sysUPDATER, tried before on rxMode and bricked.

If you have a 3DS on 9.2 you can downgrade to 4.5 using Gateway (you don't need the flashcard), install Gateway's emuNAND, boot it with rxTools and update it to the latest firmware. This is what I did on my girlfriend's 3DS XL.

By the way, what's with the Github repo? Seems to have been taken down. I had posted an issue I have with v2.6: the additional data that should be installed only the first time you boot rxTools is installed every single time. Does this happen to anyone else? It considerably lowers startup time!

EDIT: Turns out I was using an outdated firmware.bin
