So as we all know the NES games on virtual console have a billenear filter on them that causes them to be really blurry compared to the same games on the regular Wii virtual console. So to test this i downloaded one of the games (super mario bros 3) to see exactly how it looks. And yeah it looks blurry. But i had the idea that maybe increasing the "sharpness" setting on my tv could help the blurriness so i increased it to the maximum it could go.
Lo and behold, increasing the sharpness to maximum on my tv make it look the same if not better than the regular Wii virtual console super mario bros 3 version i have on vwii. Can someone explain to me why this happens? Can the sharpness settings on our tvs really counteract Blinear Filtering this way. Or am i simply going crazy?
