I have a 3DS XL and my girlfriend is currently playing a game on it. She asked if my 3DS has a microphone and I couldn't find it... Does the XL have a mic on it? If yes, where on it?

Thanks for the help to everyone, I just got the JP game working! Turns out when I type in the gateway exploit site address, I would get an invalid link. I searched for it on google and did that instead and now it works fine!region three works. format your card... write them again.. what card are you using?
Great questions and I am working to solve some of them.
Here is the problem with your plan to play retail carts in sysnand. As newer games come out they will have updates that need to be installed to play. As Nintendo marches forward with "stability update" firmwares your sysnand will need to stay on 9.2 unless gateway comes up with a new exploit. That is the purpose of classic mode emunand, to play retail carts that require higher firmware.
I am not sure what you are refering to regarding save file compatibility being different between a linked and unlinked emunand. Can you link to a reference that explains that difference?
That's cool. We can't do that in the US with video games, music or movies, only exchange for defective. (If they are opened).
I know some J versions don't have a browser installed but not heard of an E. Make a post in the main sub and maybe someone has an idea. Good luck.So i bough super smash bros as you suggested,
My version is 8.1.0 now,
But still, whenever i click the internet browser i got this message:
"The internet browser will become available once you update your system via the internet.for details, visit support.nintendo.com"
Sorry I still do not understand what you are trying to accomplish here. If you want two emunands on separate cards yes you can do that. If you want to have one linked to sysnand you should be able tondo that as well. I wouldn't reccomend it but give it a try and see how it works out for you. There are others that like this kind of setup. Thanks for replying
No, what I meant by playing eshop games and retail carts are only those compatible with my current sysNAND fw
I understand that it may not make sense as I can just simply dump the cart or dump the eshop games to cia and install it by gateway, but I just want to know everything I can do using gateway
BTW for gateway setup I mentioned in my post, is it possible?
For saves, it seems that I messed up thinking that unlinked emuNAND treated as entirely different device, so it won't be compatible
Then I remember that this is the case with ps3 saves, not 3ds
as the matter of fact, save from 3ds can even be transferred to entirely different device http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/3DS_Hacking_FAQ#Can_I_share_save_files_with_another_user.3F
Thanks
I see promises from unverified sources on the net everyday. Until I see some concrete evidence I treat this news the same as all the others. Gateway said their card would work on the New 3DS and have not delivered two months later.I just looked through quite a few posts regarding the Supercard DSTWO+, and I am still confused.
Is it a real thing or a hoax? Is it going to be able to play 3ds roms? Can it play 9.2 firmware? Do we know when it's coming out?
Sorry for the stupid questions.
Never heard of white and grey gateway cards so I don't know what to tell you.I lost my 3DS with the white gateway card in it in a bus while I was traveling.
However, I got my sister's pink 3DS and for my surprise it's version is 4.x (she doesn't play in a while).
I still have my gray Gateway cart. Is it possible for me to install CFW (or any other rom playing exploit) without the white cart?
What can I do with it?

Apples and oranges. 3DS flashcarts all cost more than the old carts and you have a old top of line. I wouldn't expect a cheap DSTWO+, my guess it would be the most expensive option especially if they include DS and emulator support.A valid method, I just wanted to go after the cheapest option; my supercard regular is quite good and I got it for so cheap. The Gateway is quite expensive.

Just make sure you make backups of everything before you experiment with your setups.

Actually I'm not quite fond of pirating games, but with gateway I'm thinking that I can try any games I want, and if I think it's worth it, I'd buy the original (no, demo is not enough. too long to explain)
That's why I keep asking for setups that allow me to
#1. Play roms and restore saves once I get the actual cart, and if it doesn't need higher firmware, I'd go play the original cart in my sysNAND (or else, see #3)
- So no downgrade to 4.x for me
#2. Setup emuNAND that allows me to run eshop, purchase game, and let me play it in my sysNAND. also for downloading updates
- I'm currently in 9.2.0, and this means to access eshop I need to do this in latest firmware in linked emuNAND. Because if it's unlinked, the tickets will be different with my sysNAND
#3. Setup emuNAND that also allows me to run retail cart that needs higher firmware
- Nothing important, also I guess there is no differences between running classic mode in linked or unlinked emuNAND
#4. Install cias that can be used to run tools ie, SD Decryptor, DevMenu, etc
- Now, I heard that if you install cias using linked emuNAND, you are not allowed to open Data Management or else all your cias and themes will be deleted (link). also you need to constantly unwrap installed cias every time you boot into emuNAND (link)
That's why I think I'd have an unlinked emuNAND for anything cia related
as for why I keep insisting on using 2 SD cards with linked and unlinked emuNAND, I recall I've read someone here in temp suggesting this, and I think this setup would fit best for me
but since I can't find that post anymore, I need suggestion from experts whether I get everything right
Sorry if this sounds complicated, but thanks for keep replying
I believe what he meant is white cart (with RED label) and grey cart (with BLUE label)
Don't worry. I'm the only one using the 3ds and I don't play online much, I can keep the wifi disabled and use the android tool for go exploit (of course, make sure no internet for my android phone), so I hope I won't make any mistake thereLet me state this. I am not an advanced user but well versed in the basics.
1. I don't think it is possible to inject your saves back in a cart at this time.
2. With a linked emunand this MAY be possible. I have not tried it. Test it out and see if it works.
3. You are correct.mmplay the carts in classic mode.
4. True as well.
Sounds like a 2 emunand setup is what you want. Will need two SD CARDS. To unlink the one emunand format the emunand from within emunand system settings. Do not format sysnad or you will loose your eshop stuff. Good luck and make sure to report back to me how it works out for you.
Here is the problem with playing in sysnand if you leave your wifi on in sysnand you risk getting an update and then you have to deal with the nag or worse make a mistake and accept the update and then it is game over.
