no it's not of any use to anyone with a console over 4.5 unfortunately.That's what I thought.
Since it is of no use to people with 6.3 what about people on 6.1? I understand there are a quite a few of us that are stuck in between on 6.1
it's running a modified version of the firmware (which is how NAND redirection is even possible). so yeah essentially if you have a 4.5 3DS you can in theory enjoy everything newer versions have to offer and custom firmware features at the same time.redNAND is running newer FW from 4.5. Given the nature of this development, does this mean that the FW can be modded? Or does it simply allow for running FW direct from nitendo?
what this means for us though is that we can investigate potential vulns much more effectively than through just static analysis; we can debug crashes and such. doesn't mean we'll actually find anything when/if we do start looking, but it does increase the likelihood of us finding an exploitable vuln.
(and to be clear, this is by no means me promising I'll find such a vuln; just saying it might not be entirely impossible)
