Ok I have reinstalled cios 202 and completely removed the program and tried a new install of v 1.02 and I still get a code dump when I launch it. Still, v. 1.01 works fine. Any ideas?

I never had any problems with 1.01 (not even a single code-dump or something - everything ran smoothly) but with 1.02 I already had 2 code-dumps and one .avi-file causes the player to freeze...

Overall a great app but hopefully this will be resolved in future updates. Otherwise I also have the option to go back to 1.01, since I really don`t see much of a difference between 01 and 02 anyway.

BTW: Does anybody know, how I can changed the forward/backward-time from 30sec to 10sec. In the menu you can only make it even longer but I want to have the d-pad for 10sec (rewind a funny short scene and such) and everything above that I usually want to seek with the pointer...

The IOS 202 is only needed for DVD playback, as in actual DVD discs? Or is it needed to play avi files from SD too?

Edit: Ok I answered the question, great app!

In the main, v1.0.2 is working great for me. But sometimes - and I haven't narrowed it down to AVI file type exactly - it will just abruptly return to the menu whilst playing an AVI. If you then click on Resume, it just keeps returning to the menu screen (without any buffering).

Doesn't code-dump or anything either.

If I'm using the Channel (http://www.wiimc.org/downloads/), what exactly is the version it is running? 1.0.1. or 1.0.2?
Thanks.
Whatever it loads off your SD card.

Thanks. I discovered that the update is displayed if you click on the logo (credits) as well. And the chanel has an auto-update feature. It prompted that there's an update available. Sweet!

I'm on 1.0.2 and so far all video files (AVI) via the SMB share are working smoothly. The only issue I'm having is that some of the photos I want to view triggers a reboot of the Wii for some reason.

Well, I have no idea whats up with my system but 1.03 code dumps for me as well. 1.01 is still fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit - Apparently it will load with my wbfs drive unplugged. Is there a fix for this?

Wow. It's been 3 versions so far and for some reason I STILL get that annoying INVALID DVD error. The WEIRD thing is, I never used to get it with Ver. 1.0.1, but then it started happening randomly.

Updated twice, it still does it. I don't know what it is, but I doubt it's WiiMC, it must be something I did with the Wii and now it wont work. . .

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament

maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
