have you tried resyncing the remotes once u make it to the system menu? Do that, then see if the problem persists when you restart the wii.
btw, you can skip the health screen warning all together using priiloader or startpatch

no pick one.. but if you didn't notice, the modify.zip should already have the updated priiloader and hacks.ini in it. Install it load it and select "block Disc updates"..
