can i use the dvd of a black (new) wii`s with the D3v2 chip after the softmod ?
is then the usb-load the only optie ?

hi i succesfully followed the CompleteSoftmodGuide but after i done the last step of Removing Stub IOSs and removed IOS 222, 223, 249 and 250 (202 was not installed) i have a problem

when i switch on wii on the health screen my wiimote does not work and i have to wait until system menu boots by itself then the wiimote works fine

can anyone tell me why i have this problem? thanks

have you tried resyncing the remotes once u make it to the system menu? Do that, then see if the problem persists when you restart the wii.

btw, you can skip the health screen warning all together using priiloader or startpatch

you can install region-free hacks on 4.2 too

What cIOS is where?!?!
cIOS 202 [v4] using base IOS 38+60
cIOS 222 [v4] using base IOS 38+37
cIOS 223 [v4] using base IOS 38
cIOS 249 [v19] using base IOS 57
cIOS 250 [v19] using base IOS 38
This means that installing WAD's will only work with IOS 202 and 250.
Remember, if you IOS36 is patched already, you can use that to install any WAD.

I followed your guide once in the past and I was able to play from USB Loader, the disc loading just did not work. I installed v17 of wanin and v4 of hermes. I'm not sure whether my Wii has a D3-2 Drive or not. Is there anyway to clarify that ? I go

Also, I want to refresh all the cIOS (new versions from wanin and hermes), can I just download all your wad files and then install them using WAD Manager (what is it about the new MMM, what's the difference ?) ? or I have to truncha patch again ?

I just want play emulators, can I only install the homebrew channel?
Without trucha, can I install official wads?
Is there any chance to brick? (I'll do ONLY these things on my wii and I don't want do big changes in my nand, like bootmii and priiloader)

no pick one.. but if you didn't notice, the modify.zip should already have the updated priiloader and hacks.ini in it. Install it load it and select "block Disc updates"..

So I did all of this back in November and followed everything. Now it's 5 months later and I want to know if there's anything since then I should have done to keep my system up to date and working. I just installed the WAD for WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase last night with WAD Manager and the game won't start up; it just freezes. Did I miss something in the past few months?

EDIT: Actually, uh, none of my channels will open from the system menu. And when I go to look at my saves or channels in the options, it just stalls on those pages with no way out but pressing the Home button. Anyone?
