what doesn't work? please be specific. are you getting freezes after some number of events?dq9 said:It doesn't work on R4 SDHC I tries with YSMenu and with the R4 firmware.
Thanks for the help, idn!idn said:this error can come in two scenarios:mahdlo said:Sorry, forgot to post that.
R4 V1.18 and YSMenu
that's weird. maybe your SD is dying? if you're sure your SD is fine you can try reformatting with a different cluster size and/or filesystem (FAT16/FAT32). you can also try playing without YSMenu, but carefully (that is, backup your save by hand), since afaik 1.18 doesn't support 8Mbit saves, so you won't get the automatic backup save you got with YSMenu and corruption will equal starting a new game.
anyway, it's not patch related, so you might try asking in general HGSS or R4 topics.
QUOTE(magicksun @ Mar 30 2010, 04:22 AM) the error say canot be found the universal code pattern to be patched
1) you're patching the wrong file. please make sure you're dropping a clean, unpacked (not .rar) .nds file of American or European version of HG or SS (Spanish, French, German etc. version won't work).
2) you're not using windows. there's a bug under wine that prevents using this type of patcher from working when the filename has spaces in it. anyway, if you're using wine under *nix systems you can figure the rest for yourself. if you don't know what I'm talking about, then this case doesn't apply to you.
I'll make a patch for 'ya, but you'll have to compile xdelta yourself.geocool said:Guyz, what about linux users or mac users ? Is There a patch ?
They seem to be working perfectly, but on No$GBA you still need an anti-black screen code, like 020DE16C E1A00000.lolorlofl said:Any news on emulators? Sorry if it's been posted, there's way too many posts to look through.
Nobody's mentioned that at all, and since the normal case is "no", I'll say "no".Raphaelle said:Will I need to delete my old save in order to patch and play this properly?

this (white screen during startup) suggest a problem with your R4, not the patch (also, moving your berry pots is not an event, so it's not AP-related either). maybe it's getting wobbly in the slot, I've seen this happen a lot, if that's the case, use the all-powerful folded paper scrap.geocool said:Guyz, what about linux users or mac users ? just use wine. it works fine that way.
Slight error report. This happened 3 time in a row.Retal said:So if I patched BAHAMUT's European ROM and then trimmed it and whacked it in an R4, none of this would cause any problem, right? No save file corruption or any other BS?
I use a trimmed rom and there are no problems at all.

After moving my Berry Pots from the 2nd page to the first page, the game freezes.
After that happening three times... I got a white screen during startup and had to keep rebooting. Got it to work at last. Used the Berry Pot without moving it and everything is fine.
