Install them and check if they work

, sorry couldn't resist, there is no app to check the .wad files, but if all of your files do the same at the installation, then reformat your SD, and then try again..!!

The strange thing is that the Wiiware installed jsut fine, but the VC ones dont

All right. I'm just utterly confused, and help would be appreciated. Let's get this organized...

My Wii is on 3.2, and I have USB Loader running on it as well as WiiWare wads, etc. Everything works nicely.

My problem is, I have some games that I've purchased that won't work now, without updating the system. They worked previously, but now they don't after I downgraded to 3.2 from 3.4.

So:
1. Will updating my system cause my updates not to play my backups through the USB Loader any longer?

2. If I update, then downgrade, will I be able to play my retail games?

Also, any advice not regarding my questions is greatly appreciated. I just want everything to work smoothly as it does now, and my legit DVD's to work too.

1. no you can still play games trhough usbloader on 4.0 as long as you do the 4.0 upgrade

2. no they won't

Nope, it won't be deleted. Just use one of the proper way to update to 4.0 (There's guides here, check them out yo), okay?

And yea, as above, these are the IOS you need to install:
1)IOS55
2)IOS38
3)IOS53
4)IOS37
5)IOS60 - For the 4.0 system menu
6)IOS61 - For the newest Shop Channel

1, 2, and 3 can be found in a package called newIOS-NFS. whilst 4 can be found in some places. For 5, you should google a file named cios60bf.

First of all, searching would help.

Second, why Starfall? It's outdated. Use Preloader.

Alright... I need some opinions.

First: What is the best cMIOS? Right now I have Wan's cMIOS v3 installed, but I have seen MIOS Patcher has v8??

And Second: if I update to v8.. should I uninstall v3 first? thanks very much

Here's my noob-ish question;

I have a 3.2e PAL Wii with a WiiKey installed. Currently for some games (MadWorld, EA Active etc..) I have to run them using WiiGator (Gamma?) loader from within the Homebrew channel (to avoid the 002 problem - basically the game doesn't get to the wrist strap warnings, just black screens). I've also softmodded a few friend's Wiis which install channels to the Wii Menu for loading games (using a batch wad installer, I think) and they work perfectly with the 002 games.

Is it possible to install the WiiGator loader (or other) to my Wii Menu Channels so I don't have to go into the Homebrew channel, then into WiiGator to load some my games? Should I just use the same batch installer as the softmodding, or is there a more sensible way to do it (like instalsing a new IOS or something)?

Here's where I'm at. I have a 3.4U wii that has the HBC, Rev 10. I installed the newest HBC, and DVDX, but BootMii wouldn't allow boot2 install so I installed the non boot2 version of bootmii.

I'm trying to play store bought DVDS. I see no option to run a DVD anywhere in HBC or in the wii home page. Was DVDX installed, and if so what do I do to get it running? Do I still need to downgrade from 3.4U to 3.2?

Second problem. AAuurrrgghh.

I've tried 6 different USB flash drives and NONE of them work. Using USB loader 1.5 I get error -1 on every single one of them (on both ports). Did I forget to install something or am I having incredibly bad luck with compatible sticks? I've so far tried

*Attache 512mb,
*kingston data traveler 4gb from NewEgg,
*PNY 4 gb from Best Buy,
*Toshiba 8 GB from Office Max
*WalMart 8GB drive (the only brand they sell at the moment- forgot the name)
*SD/MMC Converter drive with 2 SD cards, one of which works in the Wii SD slot

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Advice anyone? Systm info-> My Wii shows that I'm still at 3.4U. I've installed the newest HBC, DVDX, Rev 10, and the non boot2 Bootmii.

No, not in the internal memory. You could get an SD card if you don't already have one.

+ Higher SD transfer speeds
+ Launch VC/Wiiware from SD (actually it's being quickly copied to nand, but still much better than doing that manually)
+ Download from shopping channel directly to SD card
- You lose the twilight hack. But now there's bannerbomb

Should you decide to update, make sure you have HBC and cios installed first. And I recommend to make a full nand backup first using bootmii. And instead of the update via Nintendo, use waninkoko's updater,
