Make the BBC have commercials, like everyone else ... £150 a year, per household, just to finance the BBC.

Outrageous.

Funny thing is the BBC now has just about as much "dead" time between shows as the other channels, but they only show ads for their own products, and we still pay for it.

Looks like the rumours about Nintendo wanting to move the Wii into more of a set top box market might be true though, things could be looking up.

yeah tell me about it it's crazy i can't afford it.

as for the BBC iplayer it's crap, seriously youtube and other tv streaming websites out there is 1000X better and faster, i loaded up torchwood to watch it and it took around 15 minutes for it to load 5 seconds of the episode 0_0 i mean seriously, i could watch it on my divx player much faster if i wanted to.

if anyone wants to try it for themselves on the Wii go here.

i just watched the last 2 eps of the apprentice on iplayer so it does come in handy sometimes

its a shame they cant show family guy or MOTD though

the only things worth watching atm are the apprentice, the real hustle and top gear lol

And I stopped reading there. If your connection is so great, usenet fan...girl, then there isn't be a problem. Youtube video/audio quality is poor in comparison

Used it to watch Torchwood last night, it was excellent, screen virtually filled my telly and had no issues with lag or whatnot. Better than using my PC.
