Will the US election result spark a second civil war?

Will a second civil war be imminent?

  • Nope. Votes will be counted thoroughly, winner will be declared, loser will admit defeat

    Votes: 12 17.9%
  • Hardly. A few local riots, some contest areas and heated discussions, but nothing grave

    Votes: 22 32.8%
  • Close. A noticeable amount of desinformation, but at most 1/6 mayhem and prolonged disagreement

    Votes: 23 34.3%
  • Near-Armed conflicts. Massive vote "steal" mentionings, a contested presidency and army intervention

    Votes: 4 6.0%
  • Full out war. Big areas or even States openly defying the outcome, US vs local militia conflicts,...

    Votes: 6 9.0%

  • Total voters
    67

I wouldn't be surprised to see another January 6th riot since Trump now knows there are so many people willing to serve jail time on his behalf and he won't face any consequences himself. If security fires rubber bullets and/or tear gas at them like they should've the first time, it will fizzle out quickly.

I don't expect things will escalate beyond that, unless some other factors come into play like SCOTUS deciding to intervene on Trump's behalf, corrupt as we know they are. Add in another fake electors scheme, and burning it all down to start again fresh would actually become the good ending. It's all "what ifs" for now, but we cannot allow for democracy to be quietly subverted, and unless Harris wins by a huge margin, we should fully expect to see attempted (R)atfuckery of some sort.

No because most of the political extremists online are fat morons who have never been outside in their life and wouldn't go to war if they were paid to.

At worst, you'd get a few riots masquerading as peaceful protests, like the BLM ones a few years back.

In worst scenario, civil war related to post-election would be akin to Lebanon's civil war in 1980s without use of our military since our military is global and they don't want to get involved in political disputes.

If war drags longer that is enough to destroy the vital economy, much of wealth gets taken away and large numbers of casualty, so both of democrats and republicans would resort to negotiation to reform the government and court to end the polarization, and later, end the war and our country would be shattered, so have to rebuild. Rich people took advantage of the US and they wouldn't after painful war that take much of their wealth away.

Political violence would be common if it wasn't for reconciliation and the war related to polarization is going to be traumatic to voters. Someone who notoriously and deliberately divide the country would be one go for good.

Americans easily feel the pain if economy goes in the toilet.

I don't see a chance it could drag long, the establishment may not care about whoever gets to be the puppet in chief, but if it becomes an economic/security problem it will be dealt Tiananmen style. Not a chance they would let power/money dilute into nothing.

It would be depends on election and if Trump win numbers of swing states like he did in 2016 without mess from state legislatures/the Congress, so we would see the numbers of protests, so no armed conflict. It would be different story if Harris or Trump won the election but rigged/overturned by few numbers of state legislatures and the Congress, so risk of armed conflict is very high. Have closest electoral college invoke conflict between two party groups, so there will be a lot of court fights like in 2000 and 2020, and armed conflict would be novel. We don't know about outcome until we are in post-election phrase.

but if it becomes an economic/security problem it will be dealt Tiananmen style.
Very unlikely because of freedom of speech unless military goes rogue that would be very unprecedented. Whoever commit violent protests are likely to be dealt since most peaceful protests would be left alone. This could carry a serious consequences for politicians and it is unlikely to help with economy nor security.

1-2 centuries ago, states and federal government used to call National Guard to exterminate the union strikes, so economy went downhill and citizens lost their confidence in the government. Government's intervention didn't end well. Use Taft–Hartley Act lead to work slowdown, productive goes down and could cause a labor shortage, so as for reason, it become very rare for the presidents to invoke nowadays, compared to very common in 1940s and 1950s.

Not a chance they would let power/money dilute into nothing.
I don't believe that system in the US is resilient and if it start goes bad, US government likely to form the task force to resolve the issues.

We probably won't see such a deranged person like Trump elected president again in our lifetime.... but I find him very amusing to listen to. His mannerism.

I don't have as much trust as you on how real "freedom of speech" is in America I guess, I guess I believe money/power creates and control "reality" via control of information/disinformation. Perhaps I played too much Metal Gear Solid 2. /s

I hope so. I think it's the only way that Trump and his idiot supporters will be stopped.
I doubt it, have you seen the crowds that Trump pulls compared to Tampon Tim and Commie-la Harris.

Trump is in Aurora, Colorado campaigning today and the crowds are already massive. Everywhere he goes he gets massive crowds and cheers. There's no way Trumps supporters will be stopped.

I've seen the small crowds when he claims there are big crowds, and they leave half way through even though he claims they don't

I'm not entirely sure why anyone would support someone so rapey.

The world would be better off without Trump manipulating the weak minded.

I've definitely seen his half-empty arenas with people walking out early. Like a failed comedian who hasn't come up with any new material since 2015, except he was never funny to begin with, just there to commiserate with stupid, angry boomers.

In this post here:

A little while ago (about an hour or so) you claimed he wasn't even campaigning - it seems telling porkies is common for you, or as Tampon Tim would say - did you misspeak?

Or were you referring to the last couple of days where he suspended his campaign to visit Hurricaine survivors and helping those victims along with Elon Musk - while harris was drinking beer on friendly podcasts or doing interviews for 60 edits minutes and Biden was sleeping on a beach .

Yep I know who I would rather have as a president, a man that has taken a bullet for the country or a moron that talks in so many riddles that the media need to edit her answers to make her sound like she can talk sense? There's no competition - Trump all the way. MAGA rules.

If there is one thing I have to give to Trumpers is that they come up with dumb funny nicknames. Yeah, they sound like something that would come out of kindergarten kids having a tantrum, but they are dumb funny nonetheless, well at least they make me laugh.

He hasn't been campaigning any time recently, no. The most recent rallies he did hold, he went off on the craziest dementia-fueled rants about wind, and "wingless cylinders landing in red circles" being the reason he lost in 2020. Nobody wants third-term Reagan in office, sorry not sorry. Especially not one which is easily bought and manipulated by foreign countries.

Rubbish, he's done loads of events, Here's his upcoming ones in the next few days if you want to join a MAGA crowd.

5.30PM Today - Reno, Navada
5PM Tomorrow - Coachella,California
2PM Sunday - Prescott Valley, Arizona
6PM Monday - Oaks, Pennsylvania
7PM Wednesday - Duluth, Georgia

Or if you want to wait and see him in New York - He's booked Maddison Square Garden (Oct 27th), I would think that one will be awesome.

It doesn't matter anyway, because I was referring specifically to the fact that he's running from debates, interviews, and town halls when I mentioned campaigning. Repeating the same tired bullshit and fearmongering is easy, giving the voters something of substance is not. "Concepts of a plan."

This whole discussion basically amounts to crap. Don't matter who wins what you all don't realize is that at nearly a $40 trillion debt (that's 40 with 12 fucking 0's at the end to drive the point) this country cannot keep going like this. Democrats and Republicans both are to blame and neither are showing signs of slowing down the overspending then you say drinking liberals will soon realize those rednecks that can hunt will be the only ones not starving. Not to mention 90% of America's guns are owned by Republicans....keep poking the bear then whine when they swat you like a fly...good luck in the upcoming apocalypse...dollar will soon be worth nothing and noone will be there to help.

You don't half talk crap, here he is just the other week on TV doing an interview.

Just because you don't like the guy, there's no need to tell lies all the time. Maybe you should get out of your bubble now and again, or leave your safe space because you only ever seem to repeat the same shit over and over that you are spoon fed from the tiny group you seem to socialise with and are oblivious to what everyone else can see and hear.

US national debt clock is here:

https://www.usdebtclock.org/

Just look at how much debt US is accumulating every second. Also remeber the Dems printed loads of money and devalued the dollar. Biden cancelled over a billion dollars of student debt and expected those that work to pay for it. Then they send billions to Ukraine (a non Nato member), to fund another coutries war. Not to mention the billions they are sending to other coutries in the guise of foreign aid. No wonder the debt is the way it is. With Brics economies, the lack of R and D in tech and the rise of China and the east, it's just a matter of time until USA is no no1 anymore. Anyone with enough sense to start a new business would move to Dubia or China or once the Ukraine war ends, start a supply company to help rebuild that place - mind you there will be no men left to build that country up as they will all be lying in graveyards thanks to Victoria Nuland and her war monger cronies.

LMAO says the guy who unironically posted a faux news interview, edited and cushioned. Even then they can't make him sound fully competent, only slightly more coherent. It's time to move past fossils in the white house, Trump's a fucking drooling potato in two years max. And everybody hates that fake douche JD Vance.
