Basically, I have this problem that when I connect my Joy-Cons in handheld mode, they constantly disconnect, but they work fine on my friend's, switch, so I don't think it's a problem with the joy-cons, does anybody know what I can do to fix it? I want to fix this so I can sell my switch and get a switch oled

may be the console rails, I had to change one of them for the very same reason.

You can try to update the firmware on the joycon, if that doesn't work you can try what @impeeza suggested. In addition you can try to disconnect all the controllers paired to the unit and re pair them.
