Even if they announce it today it's already too late for holiday season this year, so i'm guessing they'll announce it early-mid next year and aim for a release before holiday season 2025

A new console or handheld for sure, but not a switch 2.

I'm not sure. I don't think it will be December. So, before or after that. They may as well let the Switch have its last solo holiday time, at that point. Not to mention, The Game Awards would eat up mindshare.

Maybe a Spring announcement with a Q3/4 launch date.

January and earlier just risks affecting sales/returns, especially places like Amazon which allow you to use the product before returning it.

I have a hunch it won't be until after Christmas. We're already so close to Christmas and they probably don't want to jeopardize their Xmas sales. So I'd say January or February, but I voted February.

They could wait until the last second and do March, but I'm guessing January. A delay passed March is possible, but I doubt it.
