Hi everyone!

I bought a Nintendo Switch OLED with a broken touch screen from an alleged impact. It was cheap, and I had a spare screen, so I decided to get it. When it arrived, I tested it, and everything worked except for the touch screen, and it didn't recognize the left Joy-Con when it was in the rail.

I thought it might be an issue with the rail or the flex cable, so I proceeded to change the screen using the new rail and flex and also installed a Picofly. The installation went perfectly using the kamikaze method. However, when I turned it on, it still didn't recognize the left Joy-Con when connected to the Switch. I've tried several Joy-Cons, and the problem persists. The flex connector and the Joy-Con IC seem to be visually fine.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thanks a lot!

One thing to try first is disconnecting all controllers through the settings menu.
In some cases, the Switch get all confused and won't accept any new joy-cons unless you remove them all.

Seen the previous damage, maybe check for missing components.
If there were signs of someone trying to install a mod chip, check for damage around the CPU shield.
You never know what the previous owner might have tried to do with it.

This thread also has a lot of good suggestions :

Now a days, everyone's a repair tech after watching a video or two.
