Here we go again! Final Fantasy developer Square Enix continuing mentioning "Final Fantasy VII" and "remake" in the same breath.

Previously, Final Fantasy VII character designer mentioned the prospects of a FFVII remake, and then FFVII game director Yoshinori Kitase mentioned how he was never tired of answering questions about FFVII remakes. Now?

When asked by game site Siliconera which game FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama would want to remake, he replied, "That would be Final Fantasy VII!"

"If we had the manpower and the time to work on a project, if we were to remake Final Fantasy VII with the quality of Final Fantasy XIII it would become a tremendous project," Toriyama continued. "If we can get the number of people we need by all means that would be the one I would really want to remake."

In 2006, Square Enix released a "technical demo" depicting Final Fantasy VII as it would look in the PlayStation 3. The game was originally released on the PlayStation 1 in 1997.

Final Fantasy 7 is only loved by all because of the huge nostalgia factor surrounding it.

You guys got Advent Children, Dirge of Cerburus, Crisis Core, and tons of other crap. Can't you just be happy with that?

No that we're done debating that, we can now talk about a FF 5, 8, or 9 remake.

I know we got a lot of stuff but a HD remake of the original would rock?

i fell ya...guess nobody played my favorite final fantasy 9 !?.

* then again alot of people didn't get into final fantasy until FFX *

i would REALLY prefer a FF9 remake...but i guess since the PS3 is failing...as far as game sales...and it will 99.98% get ported onto the XBOX360...i'm cool with a FF7 remake

Shit, I hated FF 7 so MUCH! The fanbase just wants to suffocate you in "Oh, Cloud is so cool!", or "FF7 is the best game EVAR!"

Just kill me now... :guntohead:

In FF7 you have a emo main character, which everyone hates to death.

In FF8 you have an anti social, badass, main character with an awesome jacket and it has a much better sound track.

In FF9 you have a fast, thief, monkey main character who also hits on girls.

So tell me, would you seriously take FF7 over FF8 or FF9?

I'd also be fine with a FFX remake.

personally it should just go in the direction of remake for 5, then 6, and so on.

Besides 5 has gilgamesh and I believe I should not have to say anything else.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
