Guys,
I was trying to find a list of Games ID -> Game name -> Game image and i failed no matter where i looked.

I have taken the lads (Kosaic and maddoc ) images and written a quick PHP page (im in work so cant do too much) and ill start to fill in the blanks as we go and later ill add an upload page , but i think if this is kept up to date it may help others going forward.

Let me know what you think or should i just scrap the idea ? ...

Anyone requesting new covers please supply ....

You will get the game id by loading it from some the USB loaders and some of the PC tools also show it.

How to you want them to be named ..regarding uppercase...

example:

Alone In The Dark
Alone in the Dark

Its only the human readable part so it doesnt really matter - just for others looking for them

Ill try to make a script later for this http://wiird.l0nk.org/gamelist/gamelist.txt so that it adds all in the list to the system - its not SQL - its a flat file and image listing , but if it takes off i may go to SQL with it.

I'm all for great ideas ... but not sure exactly what your trying to do.

I looked at writing some java to handle all the image fiasco, but ... impossible to rename images when there's no meta data, or other ways to do it.

Maybe I'm missing what your doing ?

I have ALL the Game ID's , ALL the images .... and will be releasing another image pack in the other thread today (hopefully completed)

Let me know

Perhaps you could add a download function.
Put a checkbox next to every title. Then the user can select the games and click download. That will then download all properly renamed and resized covers in 1 nice zip file.

I've got some GREAT ideas for this ... your off to a good start if you want to do some developing

.... I'm a 20+ year computer engineer ... and have quietly been "not coding" ... took on the images to help everyone else out. coding is my thang

Now I can see what we can do to REALLY help ... a website with all this info, downloadable, sortable, searchable, package driven ...

Interested ? (Or I can build it.)

True ....you already did all the hard work sorting all the pics out.

Will you post the picture pack in a new thread or in another one. (once your finished with both NTSC and PAL ?

I have about 75 images to finish today, bring the total to about 500 (which is 99.9% of them) NTSC ... PAL renaming is easy, and I'll do one automated swoop through to have some consistency between PAL and NTSC.

I will post in the other thread when I'm done ... then get cracking on this idea (or helping ... whichever)
