Fizeau

Adjust the color of the screen of your Nintendo Switch.

Features:

• Modify the color temperature of the display.
• Filter colors to one single component.
• Apply color corrections: gamma, luminance, and color range.
• Control the screen backlight brightness.
• Schedule settings to be applied to dusk/dawn time, with smooth transitions.

Installation:
Download the latest zip from the release page, unzip it to the root of your sd card (be careful to merge and not overwrite folders), and reboot.
Only the latest version of the Atmosphère CFW is supported.
If you want to use the overlay, you will need to set up Tesla (install Tesla-Menu and ovlloader). This isn't supported on firmware versions prior to 9.0.0.

Supported firmwares:
All firmares are expected working. The software was tested working on 1.0.0, 2.0.0, 6.0.0 and 10.1.0. If you encounter an issue running this on a particular version, please create an issue.
Settings:

• Settings are saved at /switch/Fizeau/config.ini, which you can also edit.
• To reduce the memory usage of the sysmodule, settings are not read continually. Instead, they are applied on application launch. Thus, you will need to launch the client after a reboot to restart Fizeau.

BTW Be careful one of the crashes corrupted my sd card make sure to have some backup

exfat been using it for more than a year now with no issues but now i switched to fat32 after what happened

Yeah, I did the same thing. Never had anything happen on exfat, then it did. That was my fault lol.

fizeau-chl-2.1.2-9449f24 (chainloading) doesn't work for me, crashes my system on boot. Regular Fizeau will at least allow for me to boot in to the system, but when I activate it, it freezes and crashes with the same error as the chainloading one.



I've got:

- Atmosphere 0.17.0
- SX Lite

So, these reports are not too useful because they logged an abort from AMS's fatal module, which doesn't tell me where the issue arises.
There should be a report in /atmosphere/crash_reports or /atmosphere/fatal_errors that logged the real issue.

It's crashing somewhere in nvservices, would need a bit of reversing to determine the where and why.
I'm quite busy at the moment with IRL stuff, and it probably won't get better until about a month.

Just wanted to come by and say THANK YOU for this. I finally stumbles upon it this week after keeping my eyes out for years. Everyone that can should use this, just dropping temp to 6kish and gamma to 1.9 or so makes literally every game pop more and have better contrast. Not to mention what you can do with telltale black and white batman and things like that.

Thanks so much for creating this, I hope you stay with it! I'll be using it for the rest of my switches life

yep something has changed in AMS 0.18.0 and Fizeau needs updating i'm going back to AMS 0.17.1 until that happens

EDIT: if anyone has issues on AMS 0.17.1 after trying Fizeau on AMS 0.18.0 just replace your
config.ini file with new one mine had some random numbers and that was causing crashes in any AMS
version

Tested the chl-2.1.3-0a00d21 version — the 11.0.1 HOS with AMS M.18.0 boots good, but when I tried to open Fizeau Homebrew, the panic occurred:

Error: IABRT (0x100)

UPD: it's gone after I overwrote the config.ini.
@averne May I humble ask you add a feature to auto backup config.ini file (like config.ini.bak)?.. Cause I guess it was damaged, and all my previous painstaking efforts to build a comfy config are gone now.
