I haven't been able to notice any difference between them, however, converting to .chd using chdman is easier when you're converting multitrack/bins.Is CHD supposed to load much faster than PBP or are they comparable?
I've been trying to boot MGS with the BIOS in the system folder, the .bin and .cue in the same folder as well. Is there something that I missed?Wich game are you trying to boot? So far i'm able to play Symphony of the Night and Ridge Racer Type IV
They added CHD support too so try to convert it to that format
NOTE: When talking about 3DS in this article, we actually mean the New 3DS. Don’t expect old 3DS to be able to emulate many games at fullspeed.
Have you confirmed that the bioses matches the md5 checksum over at the retroarch pages and that you've named them exactly the same. I believe upper and lower case matters too.I've been trying to boot MGS with the BIOS in the system folder, the .bin and .cue in the same folder as well. Is there something that I missed?
I would say any ps1 game at all running full speed on o3dd is a reason to celebrate. Obviously, you won't be running the most 3d intensive ones, but I don't even know if the n3ds will be able to...From the article:
Don't get your hopes up, O3DS owners.
MD5 checks out, BIOS is in the right directory with proper naming, aand still nothing...Have you confirmed that the bioses matches the md5 checksum over at the retroarch pages and that you've named them exactly the same. I believe upper and lower case matters too.
Also you should probably double check that bioses are mapped to the system directory under the directories submenu of settings.

And the .cue is referencing the exact name of the .bin? That is, you haven't changed the name of the files without editing the .cue file with notepad or whatever?MD5 checks out, BIOS is in the right directory with proper naming, aand still nothing...
Nothing is stopping you from trying. Beware that it'll at most be able to play simple 2d games, probably.Only for new 3ds/new 2ds right?
I'm gonna test it on O3DS, I refuse to replace it
tbf w the o3ds it might run well w optimisation over time along w settings
for 2d games and lightweightER games
Is your image a redump image? If unsure you can check against the redump.org. is it the pal or ntsc version?.cue matches and everything... Should I try and convert it to a .PBP or .CHD file?
It has "USA" in the filename and in the contents of the disc, so i would guess that it's NTSC. Downloaded a .cue from there (modified for the filename), tried to start it up, no luck. Anything else? What about the .PBP method? Is your image a redump image? If unsure you can check against the redump.org. is it the pal or ntsc version? Maybe there's anti piracy in it.
Yeah you could try the .pbp or .chd method. Remember to set compression to 1 in options for psx2pbpIt has "USA" in the filename and in the contents of the disc, so i would guess that it's NTSC.
