-in the "content\LuigiBros\msg" folder, "USA_en" must be renamed to "JAP_ja".

how to know which folder is Super mario 3D World? There are tons of numbers

Use ftpeverywhere to access these folders once game is installed.
You may have to do this also on update folders and/or dlc folders.

For games the titleid-high is 00050000.

You'll need to look up the titleid of your games, updates and DLC...

FTPiiU Anywhere won't let me rename the folder. What should I do?
There is alread a folder there. Should I delete it first?
I tried copy the inside content from en to jp but it still freezed at loading screen.


I really can't get it to work. I delete JPN_ja folder then copy USA folder then rename to JAP_ja at my computer then copy back. I even make a JPN_ja folder to make sure that no spelling JAP or JPN mistake. Also, does the same thing with JpJa folder. but still freeze.

The folder that I worked with is storage-usb/usr/title/00050000/10145c00
I'm really confused right now.

- renaming UsEn folder to JpJa (not JpJp)
and
- renaming USA_en folder to JAP_ja (not JPN_jp or JAP_jp)

So I wanted to set my wii u back from regionhax (119) back to US but I accidentally set it to 4 (EU) and now I can't even access the system settings. Is there a fix to this? I have a Nand backup.

Then you have the opportunity to do the hardmod and recover the system.

If it makes you feel any better, you're not the first person to do this.

Yes, I'm still on SM3DW didn't have a chance to try other game yet.

I can still access the wii menu, but how would I go about restoring with the hardmod? Would you restore both TSOP and eMMC or just TSOP? And how would you do it?

OMG I finally launch SM3DW with English!!
For my case I needed to download JAPAN Version of the game and copy content from US version at folder "UsEn" to JAPAN version "JpJa" only. Then play the JP version. It will have all ENGLISH text!

So i know this is an older post but im just gettimg into the mod scene. I know very little at this point. This seems easy enough but i want to make sure this still works.
Is this the up to date preferred method?

you're better off using haxchi/cbhc or mocha. the problem with this is that if you delete your account, the wii u and wii disc/channel will disappear. I did this myself, and for fear of something happening, I just left it. I do have a backup up the sys_prod.xml as it was originally though. I do love making them backups. if you do do this, make sure you have a backup in case something goes wrong somewhere down the line.

I am using haxchi and mocha, i have a fully modded homebrew. ourloader does not work through homebrew as some said earlier it just keeps going to the main homebrew launcher screen and I do not know how to open ourloader through haxchi or make my wii u region free as there are many apps in the homebrew appstore that i do not know about and spiik doesn't really work. i have been trying for many hours to get my NTSC cds play on my Pal Wii U everything works 100% in the vWii using Wii flow. but nothing on the Wii U since i cannot use the tools i have. i would really appreciate the help

haxchi and mocha are region free. there might be a way to change the meta for each game. I think the file is called meta.xml inside the metal folder for each game. let the games install, then ftp to their location. I think ftpii u everywhere can only see usb1, so you may have to unplug the virtual wii's hdd (if the games are on the usb hdd). I remember experiencing this myself.
