Homebrew WIP 4NXCI Open-Source *.XCI to *.NSP Converter

just a reminder:
the app is WIP and builds are Pre-release, so don't expect much from it (and don't mind shit posts, at least this WIP app doesn't brick your console like installing dlcs with that app did)
i'm just publishing builds for finding bugs
and nsps doesn't work with dev menu cause .cnmt.nca is invalid, my main target is just sx os 1.4 for the start
but the reason you can't run nsps on anything other than sx os is invalid Digest value and there's no public method for calculating it yet
will release a version with dev menu support soon

Wait, darn. It only works on SX OS? I didn't see any mention of that anywhere and I think this is throwing a lot of people in fact. I guess this won't do many of us any good at all then.

If the game has update, you can run converted game by installing update NSP even on sig-patched hekate, reinx, etc..
But I had to install the converted NSP using cracked sx os rommenu. Tinfoil and devmenu won't accept those NSPs..

It seems to be the easiest thing to do is bite the bullet and get SX OS. I have a license for each of my Switch systems, and it was well worth it. I use my Android phone + OTG/USB-C cable, and it couldn't be easier.

I could convert flashback.xci to .nsp and I´ve installed using Tifoil (DevMenu didn´t work).
When I try to run it gives corrupt error.
I don´t have SXOS to try, but it does not work with Atmosfere/ReiNX.
Any clue to make it work withou SXOS?

I tried 4NXCI v0.9-Alpha 2 with four games and all installed successfully but when i started they crashed. At the Moment the Tool is really a alpha version but for the future i think it will be great

Do you know for certain the digest is the issue or is that your best guess given the evidence? I ask because I've identified other possible causes e.g. NCA location flags, titlekey crypto. Further, do you have any guesses as to where the digest check actually is in the OS?

I installed all Updates and Dlcs for South park with Tinfoil Hekate + sig patches.
Since the converted NSP couldn´t be installed this way I downloaded the cracked SX OS Menu from PRAGMAs Twitter post.

(Just google something like "sx os album game menu .nro file pragma" should be one of the top results)

After I renamed it to hbmenu.nro I booted SX OS using their Loader.

Holding R + click on Album brought me into the SX OS Cracked menu.

After tabbing into "INSTALL" it shows me my converted South Park NSP file and istalls it without any errors.

Had someone tried installing a converted NSP file without installing the Updates with tinfoil using the cracked SX OS Menu?

Edit: At the end I got the Error: "Could not install ticket, Install failed" is there a solution for it?

If you boot a switch from emunand then you can do anything you like and when you go back to sysnand there will be no record of it. You can play your sysnand online without fear, you just can't go online with your dodgy emunand.

People don't think emunand solves everything, they know it solves everything and with no magic involved. I don't get how you couldn't figure that out.

Emunand being a 1:1 copy of your nand, to me its helpful for avoiding a brick, as if you get banned on your emunand, your sysnand will be also banned.

Most people here think that they can play online on emunand with pirated games, but that will be a ban for sure C:

I was able to convert Batman Telltale XCI to NSP and Overcooked 2 XCI to NSP files and install them on RajNX's CFW using tinfoil. The Batman game worked and launched with no issues but the Overcooked 2 game doesn't launch. Has anyone else had any success with that game?

The problem is that if it's the kind of thing no one will provide a NSP for in the first place, chances are no one will provide an update for it.

And yeah, I'm not taking my system online to do an update. Well, I may have to eventually and just go ahead and let it be banned, but for now I'd rather just be patient and wait for a converter that works more fully.

This is all moot if the conversion won't occur in the first place anyway.

I'm having a problem where every time I go to install one of these .nsp's it freezes my sxos menu as soon as I open it. Has anybody else had this problem?

Overcooked 2 works for me; I installed using and on SX OS 1.4 and it starts perfectly fine. Great this converter is here so I don't need to use the Album menu anymore.

It 's so convenient for me, and I want to use my SX OS to try it. which I bought from 3ds-flashcard site, Allen has shared this information with me. I feel that this news is confirmed again today.
