Your google can probably find the Wii U Common Key (there's only one - it starts with D7). You'd paste that into a hex editor like HxD and save the file as common.key. If your google is broken, you can start dumping a disc with wudump, then turn off your console once the blocks start dumping. (the common.key will be under sd:/wudump/wup-x-xxxx directory.)

You're not providing the information you were asked for, so we can't help you.

We need to see what you actually have in your c:\wud2app directory, and we need to know what you're typing for a wud2app command. This is what the dir command and output would look like:
Code:
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.14393]
(c) 2016 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

c:\Windows\System32>dir c:\wud2app
Volume in drive C is C_DRIVE
 Volume Serial Number is

 Directory of c:\wud2app

03/27/2017 08:21 AM <DIR> .
03/27/2017 08:21 AM <DIR> ..
02/04/2017 06:59 PM 16 common.key
02/04/2017 06:59 PM 16 game.key
03/27/2017 08:21 AM 8 game.wud
               3 File(s) 40 bytes
               2 Dir(s) 883,248,648,192 bytes free

c:\Windows\System32>
Your common.key needs to be 16 bytes and not be common.key.txt or anything else. Your game.wud is going to be 23GB. Mine is 8 bytes because I made a fake one.

I used wudump to dump the contents of Xenoblade Chronicles X to SD. As I understand, to install the game to local storage (USB or sysNAND) as an application I must first move the dumped folder to my computer, then run wud2app on the folder, then copy the resulting converted app to the SD card and finally run wupinstaller on it. Is this correct?

Also, I assume that the caveat about moving my save files applies?

It would be nice to be able to dump directly from the disc into app format right on the console with no intermediate steps, but then I am spoiled by the ripping options for Wii discs.

If anyone can help me< I would appreciate it.

Okay so I was able to dump the disc, merge the files into a single WUD file, but now here is where I'm stuck. The common key and game key are Registration Files, I have no clue how to open these files to access the keys. I am trying to do this to use the WUDs with Cemu.

Thanks to anyone who can help me because I am stuck lol

If it there an error while reading a sector, it just try again and again until it succeed. So if there is a bad sector it just hangs forever.
I have the same problem. I tried to rip it twice, and both times it hung at 10%. What should I do? I have wudump 1.5

Check your disc for scratches, and for pits in the top surface (hold it up to a light.) Either can cause read errors.

If you can't read the disc with wudump, try Disc2App instead. Disc2app only reads the parts of the disc that have the install files, so not only is it faster, but it can successfully dump discs that wudump can't if the unreadable parts of the disc don't contain the install files.

Sorry to bump an older topic but I need help. I am getting so frustrated because I don't know what I could be doing wrong, now it's been awhile since I've done this but it's so simple and I've done this so many times, maybe I forgot a certain detail or something changed? I don't know but here is the problem.

Every time I try merging the wud files using a cmd prompt, I keep getting the same result, "The system cannot find the file specified".

What the hell am I doing wrong? I have a wudump folder in my C drive, I'm copying the code to use, I would appreciate any help,
