Anyone here in the States that can mod the Old 3DS model? Apparently it's a bit harder to mod than newer versions, and neither mchew nor vb_encryption_vb do so.

I don't install permanent ones on them models. If your looking for downgrade/a9lh, than I can help you out.

Oh I see. Well what I really need a hardmod for is so I can write a NAND backup to my 3DS (it's on 11.3 but I have backups from older firmwares) and then proceed with A9LH installation as I should (one of my backups is from when I was on 9.2) as I currently have no other way of writing to the NAND.

That I can do. Will send pm.

I know that it's been some time since hundshamer gone up and went missing for several months now, but does anyone know what actually happened to him? Just curious since my Red New3DS was with him the last time I was able to contact him.

His account got hacked and now he is banned

I know that much, but that's not answering my question.
I don't think anyone knows, I used to talk to him off gbatemp and it was around the time of his first awol spree he said his cat had died and he was having lots of trouble with his landlord and was going to have to move but that he was going to have it all sorted soon™, I never managed to get any further response after that after he dissappeared the second time

idk if any of that was the truth or not, but that's all I heard from him on the matter

Pretty urgent in my case. The battery insertion connector for my New 3DS XL has some bent pins on the inside; it needs to be replaced.
The bad thing is that this didn't happen on the battery board, but the motherboard itself. Everything I've done and everything I have saved on the system is gone now, and since I had some files saved to NAND, I kind of need it.

Either the ribbon connector needs to be fixed, or I need to swap the NAND (and SoC) with another console entirely.

If none of you could do this, could you direct me to one who does? And of course I know it will cost a bit. That's why I'm tagging even out of region people since the cost is probably already in the hundreds.

USA: @vb_encryption_vb, @mchew

Sorry not me, for whatever reason the pin header is soldered on both sides, I'm good, but not that damn good. ( lack the patience ) lol

Yes I need to see the connector from above.
It's perfectly fine. Looks just like it does on any other motherboard. (Which, btw, I do have another donor board with a working connector)

No, I don't have an actual picture but everything from that perspective is completely normal.
