Hi,
Here is a very late review of a @vb_encryption_vb o3dsXL hardmod done last june.

Serious modder, shipped to France, great work very well done.

(Sorry again to post this so late)
Positive it was me? I mean it's possible, I just don't recall shipping to France.

Re: vb_encryption_vb hard-mod

I had a N3ds on 11.2USA fw hard-modded by VBE.
I requested a permanent hard-mod.
He did an excellent job. Really just awesome and even downgraded to FW 9.2 for me.
He was very professional and courteous and answered all my questions quickly.
The turn round time here in USA for me was exactly 7 days: I sent him via 2 day Priority mail last Monday and received it back same way ie by 2 day mail today.

If anybody requires a hardmod and downgrade and other CFW install, look no further than VBE, he is the the go to guy for this process.
Again thanks

Thank you to @vb_encryption_vb for the unbrick! his service was speedy (once my 3ds actually got there) and the quality of the work is great! Now my N3DS is happily running Luma3ds and BootNTR. Some pictures attached for those who are curious. 1485932970076742606212.jpg14859330317931603569449.jpg

Alright here's a late review of vb_encryption_vb's hard mod service. He did exactly what he said he would, he was always quick to reply and he was courteous and to the point. I have no complaints and I'd reccomend him to anyone in need of a hard modding service.

Hello @gamesquest1 I managed to brick my old 3DSXL while trying to install a CFW. I get 2 black screens and the blue light stays on constant even without the SD Card installed.

How much do you charge to restore it (if possible) and install the CFW (Softmod) I Have my NAND backed up

Thanks.

Ah I see, didnt know that.
hello @slslasher, i was wondering if you could help me. i have two n3ds xl's and i tried downgrading them both via soundhax and arm9loader but forgot one crucial step which was to have them both connected to the internet before starting. so when i got down to 2.15 and and had to connect to that web address it wouldn't and there was nowhere to change that and in trying to change that, i bricked them both. hard. so i cried myself to sleep for ages. occasionally taking them out and trying all the things suggested on the internet but alas they were done for. then i started reading about hardmodding and although not simple, didn't seem beyond my abilities and so i tried. i have the nand backups for both from the downgrade process and have followed the hardmodding guide on gbatemp. i created a frankensdcard and got a tekrepublic 3.0 card reader and soldered the correct points to the correct points. i assume so since when i put my frankensd card into the card reader and boot up my n3ds i get that blue bootrom error screen. but here's the problem, when i plug the card reader into my laptop it doesn't show the nand. what am i doing wrong? i trying to write my nand backups back to my nand. one of the n3ds xl's is a korean one and the other is european. the one i'm trying at the moment is the korean one. could that be the problem? would it work if i connected it to a desktop? should i use a different card reader? any help would be much appreciated. thanks so much for your help and patience. best regards, alex.

Anyone here in the States that can mod the Old 3DS model? Apparently it's a bit harder to mod than newer versions, and neither mchew nor vb_encryption_vb do so.
