My v33 update is 2.5GB with 355 files in it.

Well i had problem, my game is transfered to internal memory and it seems that you can't directly install it to nand, need to install it on usb first then tranfere to nand. Wupinstaller gx2 crashed at 3%.

My wii u is eu.
Thats strange, I came from the old loadiine mode. So i didn't know about transfer to this at all.
Did you try to start mocha first?
I tried to sent the game into NAND and it worked directly even i never did it with other games.

Yes it worked but i need to install first to USB then with the Wiiu system settings tranfer to nand

My guess is just the 2.2gb v33 one as it seems to possibly include files from prior update (maybe fixed/updated files from the disc update?)

If your v33 version is 2.2gb, it will include the v16 as part of the update. Therefore you won't need the two updates (2.2gb v16 and 155mb v33), only the v33 2gb.
The 2.2gb v33 has both updates rolled into one.

Because the day 0 patch v1.0.0 is on the disc, the 156mb is the actual day 1 1.1.0 patch.

Not sure what you're trying to say. My post was an answer to someone else's question regardnig the need for every update to be installed or not.

I do not know a lot, was it ever possible to do that with other systems? I would love to see they can convert my dreamcast savefile from Shenmue II to PS4 what is coming out end of the year...lol

For Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, you could transfer your save from the 3DS copy of the game to the Wii U as well as the other way around. I know this isn't the only game to ever do this, but its an example that immediately comes to my mind.

It is required to play the game, the game won't launch without it.

154mb = v33 = v1.1.0
You don't need it to play the game, but it's the new update. Day 1 patch.

If it's the 2.2gb version, yes. If it's not the 2.2gb version, you'll need v16 first.

Basically: no matter what happens, there needs to be a 2.2gb update to the base game (around 9gb).
So people can either go base -> 2gb v16 -> 155mb v33
Or they can go base -> 2gb v33.
