Hacking Please help, 2DS Pokemon Limited JAP can't use Rxtools

I just buy 2DS Limited Edition : Yellow ( Jap ) and downgrade to Firmware 9.2.0.20J to use CFW by SafeSysupdater. I tried to create Emunand by these two methods 1) Gateway Menu 2) Emunand9. Each method can run Rxtools but it said that "Emunand not found" then boot into RX-S mode.

I tried with other 3 Old 3DS XL and everthing work well with Rxtools to boot into RX-E mode.

Please kindly give me any advice about this 2DS Pokémon Limited : Yellow ( Jap ) to run Rxtools properly.

Try AuReiNAND and see if it works. I am not asking you you to switch if you do not want to, just to try it and see if EmuNAND works. If it does, it is something RxTools related and if not, it is something else.

I suggest trying AuReiNAND because RXTools has become rather out of date.

rxTools doesn't support 1.21GB emuNAND on 2DS.
Use CakesFW/AuReiNAND instead.

some 2DS consoles have an unusual 1.2GB NAND, so only RedNAND can be used I think. rxTools does not support RedNAND.

try AuReiNand. if it doesn't work, format the SD card for RedNAND (via EmuNAND9) and try again.

Dear all, I finished RedNAND + CakeCFW following this link https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)
But I have some more questions, please kindly help me.

1) I create 1 Folder in the menu of SysNAND and then boot CakeCFW form HBL. When it return to the menu, I not found that folder.
Is that mean I install RedNAND + CakeCFW properly in EmuNAND ?
( in Setting it show Ver. 9.2.0-20J, don't has any letter like GW or RX-E )

2) I followed the Step in the above link, when finished I found that I don't have any CIA Installer.
In EmuNAND mode from CakeCFW, I run HBL to load FBI.3dsx to install CIA files in the SD card.
But it show the following message error for "description invalid command". What should I do ?

3) From now with RedNAND + CakeCFW, can I change the Region of EMuNAND to USA ?

i notice you all are past this point now but . . . rxtools definitely works on 2ds . . . the 2ds was the first 3ds system i installed cfw on and it was indeed rxtools

yes but not the 2DS systems with the larger 1.2GB NAND, because "EmuNAND" can't be used with that on Old3DS, and rxTools doesn't support "RedNAND". if Nintendo were to release an old 3DS model with a 1.2GB NAND, the same thing would apply.

cakes does not show any kind of version prefix, so you should unlink your nands and set a theme in emunand to make it easy to tell the difference

no that should not be a problem . . . but i (personally) have not seen this exact error before but i am sure someone else on gbatemp will have some insight

Thank you everyone ^^ now I finish CFW for sure and can play the game.
I try with the FBI injection to Health and Safety method in EmuNAND and it's WORK !!!

i have never region changed a console before but all the guides seem to be written for emunand not rednand. . .

you should save this as a .txt file so you can remember the steps you needed to take to get here
