Love the new release. I used uncart this morning to dump a rom and it totally was awkward trying to hold L+R+B+power. the new L+payload combo is so much nicer!
If your not using updated sysnand then how could you have an update nag on sysnand? You literally only boot in and out of emunandSo we can't access it anymore? How would we get rid of update nags then? Not everyone is using updated sysnand..
- Blocked Safe Mode (L+R+Up+A) access on A9LH, as using it would brick the console (N3DS) or remove A9LH due to the reboot to SAFE_MODE FIRM.

I haven't used the latest few versions, but what do you mean by that? I use "L to boot into 9.2 sysnand, and that does get update nagsIf your not using updated sysnand then how could you have an update nag on sysnand? You literally only boot in and out of emunand

so @d0k3 has a way to disable or get rid of update nags?If you set the Tubehax DNS you can't get update nags. And there's also a program d0k3 made which removes the nag (you can find it here on GBAtemp).
(I have no way of telling if SAFE MODE is used for good or not, and if you accidentally proceed to update with it, it's a brick.)
Not something I'm willing to do. In fact, I'll probably never do that. Roms are still cleaner than CIA installation (no ticket is written to ticket.db) and browser exploit is still something I heavily use.Have you considered moving over to a 100% sysnand and ditching emunand ?
Yeah, there's a tool he made for that.so @d0k3 has a way to disable or get rid of update nags?
where is it?Yeah, there's a tool he made for that.
And as I said, Tubehax DNS gets rid of them too.
I don't want to hinder the connection itself (though I have that set on my Wii U) rather, just a simple way to get rid of nags if I accidentally get them. The recovery menu was a simple way to do that.If you set the Tubehax DNS you can't get update nags. And there's also a program d0k3 made which removes the nag (you can find it here on GBAtemp).

It doesn't hinder the connection, it just blocks access to Nintendo's update servers... What program by @d0k3 are you referring to?
Not to mention being a more tedious process compared to simply accessing recovery, but the posts specifically says to not use that on sysnand..
Not because sysNAND is special, but because if the tool derped, pre-A9LH you had a brick doing it on sysNAND.Not to mention being a more tedious process compared to simply accessing recovery, but the posts specifically says to not use that on sysnand..
If I remember correctly, that was for those new 3ds getting the nag before the 9.6 keys were released
I get that. I'm talking about hindering the connection between the update servers and the 3ds.It doesn't hinder the connection, it just blocks access to Nintendo's update servers... I have it set on my 9.2 emuNAND
You said you don't want to get background updates, but at the same time you don't want to block them from downloading?I get that. I'm talking about hindering the connection between the update servers and the 3ds.
