so i restored my 9.2 dump, got menuhax installed - but my emunand is based on the 9.2 dump

can i just format the sysnand (without the sd card in) and it will unlink?

if that is true, id imagine i have to reinstall menuhax...

Okay. I still have my blue GW card and its been in the same GW box when I first got it so I want to make use of it.

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but I have an O3ds 4.5 sysnand with gateway and latest emunand. I'm happy with the ds profile exploit (to be honest I mostly keep it on sleep mode when I'm not using it so rarely have to reboot. Everything is working finr and I have no great desire to autoboot - is there anything new in this update that is useful for me? Oh, and can I replace the 3.61 launcher.dat file with my current one (I'm still on 3.51 as I have no desire for cheats) and it will work just like normal?

Gateway 3.6 adds a way to make your own cheats. You can also use retail cartridges in Gateway mode, meaning you can use SaveDataFiler to backup/restore their saves.

Thanks for answering so quickly. As I don't use cheats (still annoyed at a guy who ruined a game of MK7 I was playing online the other day) it sounds like I shouldn't bother updating. Cheers!

Autobooting into GW mode from coldboot is probably the biggest addition and worth the update imo.

I'm probably wrong but as I am on 4.5 sysnand that would mean having to update to 9.2? just from reading some of the posts on this thread I reckon I would end up bricking my 3ds so I think I'll give it a miss!

You will even be presented with at least two options to do it

It also slightly increases the scroll speed for choosing games. I recommend updating anyway, since it only requires replacing the Launcher.dat, but there's no hurry.

Can someone tell me how I can find dynamic addresses in a game? Also, are there ways to prevent random crashes when ram searching, or is it even possible for gateway to warn about a crash prior to searching? (I also noticed I can't exit exact searching without searching for an address, which can end up trapping me into a crash)

I tried using autoboot with gateway by renaming GW.3dsx to boot.3dsx after setting menuhax to no-button launch.
It first shows the menuhax-loader screen, then the gateway screen, then it shows the menuhax-loader screen and then all screens stay black.

What am i doing wrong here?

Why is everbody talking about downgrading??
Memchunkhax 2 works on 10.3 and we also have shitloads of entrypoints, so why would you want to downgrade?

Also snshax was patched with 10.2, so there is no way to use it for a 10.3 downgrade.

Memchunkhax 2 is a Arm11 exploit. Not an Arm9 exploit. You need Arm9 exploit to use CFW like Gateway, rxTools, etc. Homebrew doesn't need much, but it's implied that most in this thread are waiting for downgrade so they can use Arm9 exploit again to use CFW. This is a gateway thread after all.
