Hacking New 3DS firmspoof (only games) 10.2* emunand.

hello, after two days of suffering I've managed to create a emunand with "semifirmware" 10.3

commented the steps talk about the region EUR.

First, have a N3DS with emunand 9.5.

second, be installed as CIA sysupdater.

third, to download the firmware 3dsNus 10.3.0-28

steps.

One put the list of files in the Updates folder at the root of our sdcard once downloaded. (only used the files of list!!)

2. sysupdater start our emunand and press A

3. expected to restart the console and go.

and any game not will ask that you update the console.

eshop unfortunately still does ...

note: for eshop with free multi patcher use the option ignoreFirmware ON

Note 2: IMPORTANT!!! The eshop downloads only works UPDATES, DLC and OLD GAMES, new games from direct download eshop not boot.

Note 3: this works with 10.3, eshop works with hans (used 9.5 hax), for cia hbl, used the otheapp.bin from 10.3

The CIA number will be different for other region (says USA)? If so, anyone with great attention to detail can compile a list of CIA for USA please? (I don't trust myself with detail stuff to convert CIA number to USA )

OP should change title to something like "10.2 Semi-Firmware for N3DS EMUNAND - FirmSpoof for Game Only".

Cart games don't need cryptofix. Just use Simple Cia Converter with firmspoof. It's really easy lol.

I prefer sky3ds to cia, anyway, i dont like use ntr cfw for run games with 9.6+ fmw.

Why can't you just update the emunand through the settings? 10.2 is the latest isn't it? The only reason to update your firmware via cia is to update to a version you want to be in, not to the latest, so that is why I ask.

N3DS here (9.5 max on EMUNAND).

I used these on my N3DS emuNAND and it boots fine and says it's GW3D 10.2.0-28U but....
as expected, it still won't launch an eShop that needs >9.5

eshop i said that you need free multi patcher with the option ignorefirmware ON, this only works with GAMES, i tried that this works with eshop, but never run.

Are you saying we can launch eShop games that require >9.5 FW on a N3DS without CryptoFix?
If so, what are the settings you are using?

I tried eShop 3D Sonic 2 using FMP 0.6b2 set to ignorefirmware=ON and it doesn't work.

If you are only talking about accessing the eShop, that's always been possible, even with the older FMP...

Running a Frankenstein firmware is inherently risky, and something that needs more than two days of testing.

With that in mind, this looks like a great opportunity to set up dual emuNANDs using @robb4's system.

You're suggesting I dump my cart, convert it to a .cia, and install it to my emuNAND?

Are you suggesting I just export the save to my cartridge every few days or something?

You're suggesting this as a reasonable alternative to just sticking the cartridge in and playing?

You can message a Mod and ask them to change the title for you.

K, got it. but I don't see this as a risk if only the user does the smart thing, we should all know what that is. Have all games w/encryption keys been tested, no cryptofix and card based.
