I just ordered the Gateway 3ds and it sshould be here by next week.

I specifically bought my first Gateway just because of their 9.2 announcement and of course they are back ordered. Seems like I am not the only one jumping on the bandwagon this time.

It's the most plausible option. Nintendo should have no idea of what the new exploit is so the new consoles will most likely still be vulnerable.
Gateway team wouldn't waste these sales.

I have a sinking feeling that the US New will not still be on 9.2, since it's coming out so much later, and since they're certainly not going to want to put it out with an initial FW that works with Ninjhax. Importing AU/JAP systems is a hassle not everyone wants to go through. So I really hope whatever Gateway's got planned uses a different exploit than that or Sky.

I know systems usually aren't completely up to date with FW when they are shipped, but I could see this being a case where they really make an effort to.

Anyone who is thinking about getting a New 3DS is buying one right now, importing from either AUS or JP. So yes, it is a hassle people are willing to go through. I have two coming because I expect this to be patched within a week.

yeah literally just bought myself a Japanese New 3DS XL right now, its arriving next tuesday. Lets hope nothing rolls out by then!

good idea, Yeah I ordered from amazon too. But just canceled my order, and did a faster shipping. Not its arriving this Saturday. I love Amazon Prime.

I think it goes without saying that.. All in-stock items in retailers/online stores carry the FW they were all developed with ..

They won't.. Y'know.. Open the N3DS's from their boxes, update them, and put them back.
