Hardware Help - Wii U Gamepad top DC charging port replacement

Hi everyone,

My charging port on my Wii U gamepad has broke. I have been searching high and low for a replacement but everyone only seems to carry the bottom port that goes into the charging dock/cradle.

That port works fine, but of course you really can't play while its charging that way. I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction in locating the jack please.

if your wii u is still under warranty, you could go through nintendo and just get a replacement

Thanks for the reply, those are the bottom port for the gamepad.

It's a first launch console, been OoW for a bit now unfortunately..

Don't know if this helps you.....I was having the same problem...After not finding any help or the part I needed.....I paid £6 on ebay for the little docking charger for the gamepad....De soldered the charging port from that...then soldered it into the top of the gamepad....and job done.....it works fine.....Hope this helps..
