Yes! Really!

I just beat that boss and I having actually fought the battle. I believe that can give some basics which do not really spoil the battle or any of the scenes.

I will edit it in after I get some sleep.

Yes, the boss can get up the ramp. The boss can stick his snout in
things I should have done
#1 As fight progresses, keep asking Fi for her analysis: Fi may have more info or the circumstances may give insight into the info Fi provides.
Questions I should have asked
#2 I think that sloppy damage to the boss makes the boss faster. I failed to test this. I think that in particular rolling Bomb Flowers and damaging the boss's ?tummy? makes the boss faster.
I started out throwing and hitting the same spot. I got sloppier because
(a) It was past my bedtime
(b) I was trying it out
I seriously think that more damage improves the boss's maneuverability.
#3 The boss seems to set off Bomb Flowers and damage himself. Can this be worked into a useful strategy or should one keep the boss away from the Bomb Flowers
The reason that some people think that the boss cannot climb is that the boss tends to set off Bomb Flowers.
(a) The boss's setting off Bomb Flowers may be random
(b)Damage to the boss may be a factor: No damage to the boss may let the boss avoid the Bomb Flowers and climb.
Link's face. I will herewith expound my wisdom. I believe it will be useful because it is all hindsight and things that I should have done and questions I should have asked.

Forgot to mention. You might want to recalibrate a few times during the fight.

If anyone was wondering how to get a good score at the bamboo minigame, well, I found a really good way to do it.

This method is a little TOO good! If you hit 65 cuts, the score rolls over back to 1!
Holding the wii remote closer to the screen seemed to make this more accurate for some reason, dunno why.

I've managed to perfect the harp mini-game, all you need to do is memorise the very easy song, and get adjusted to the harp controls.
Pretty sure an amazing performance only nets you a 50 rupee reward anyhow, if you're doing it again. I mean you'd already have the heart piece for finishing the work.

Call me stupid but omg! I have tried probably 30 times by now and I believe that the harp item was a horrible idea! I can't see if I do it right or wrong. Worst item of all Zelda games imo.

The harp is kinda finnicky at times, because I think what happened is that it uses the IR sensor and the MotionPlus to calibrate the Wii Remote to your motions. In certain conditions, like when there's sunlight, it can interfere with this and make the detection go all off. I'd cover up the IR sensor on the Wii Remote completely and let the MotionPlus do the work, and it feels fine. Just get the right timing.

It doesn't use IR at all.

So I'm in the mine place, and there's a part where its all quicksand, and no piece of land to rest on, and I just don't have enough to get all the way across without running out of stamina.
There's a crystal right across that I have to hit too, so there must be something I'm missing.
Can anyone tell me how to get across?

Yes, but for me its the contrary. If I dont have line of sight to the IR bar, the wiimote goes out of sync a lot more often.

Maybe that's true, but the IR is far more accurate than the WMP for me. It's so frustrating when I press HOME and suddenly I can select everything perfectly.

I agree. IR is a lot more responsive because it reacts even if you hold the wiimote level and just raise your hand, while the motion does not.
But the fact remains that SS is actually using the IR. But not at the correct areas :/.

I'm gonna try what he suggested in there. Holding the sensors of the remote with a finger or tape or whatever and try play the damn harp again...

Have you played Spirit Tracks? imo the flute was way worse in every way.

everyone hates the quicksand. >.<
Still inside the mine? Did you try rolling a bomb across? Just wait till you see all the sand outside the mine.

Just 5 gratitude crystals, you get 5 gratitude crystals if you give it to the actual person so it doesn't matter which person/hand you give it to.

I think the cutscene is funnier if you give it to the girl (a whole love triangle fall into place), but you might consider saving the game before you give the letter to either so you can do one, then start over with the other.
