Nintendo 3DS update coming to Europe on November 4

Nintendo of Europe announced today during an event in Munich that the highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS update will be available to download on November 4.


A new StreetPass game, previously teased during September's Nintendo 3DS Conference 2011, will be included in the update, though details surrounding this game are unknown.

The update will also include 3D video recording, improvements to the StreetPass Mii Plaza and Nintendo eShop.

Here's hoping for some news about the GBA ambassador games too.
May not surprise me if the eShop update actually addresses ambassadorship, unlike the way you had to download the NES titles.

I wonder they could put new games for the Mii Plaza (or an easier way to get all the puzzles), I already finished all the two puzzles I got (Metroid and Kirby) and did that rpg like thingy for over 3 times (until all the hats were unlocked)... They could also add new features to the eshop... Well, I just hope it's something interesting. =3

Looking forward to it:

E-Shop - Needs to be redone. I like how it changes every week. It makes me check it more often, but it's a mess.

Video recording - Great to have. I don't expect much though because the cameras only like 0.3MP anyway, and expecting it to be a little laggy.

Streetpass Games - Really looking forward to these because I beat Find Mii (Twice and got all the hats) back in June, and completed all the puzzles in August, so I've been saving coins since then. Hope there are new hats/rewards.

There are more than just two puzzles. AFter the first mario and samus ones, I unlocked a mario, luigi, and bowser puzzle, and I think I have another.

Video quality is probably going to be shit thanks to the crappy cameras but it should be fun for a little bit to create 3D videos, anyways.

Direct Youtube upload should be nice, though.

Update:

Details of the system update are expected around November 4, not the release of the update. There was no announcement regarding a system update from Nintendo of Europe, and they did not speak officially about a system update at the event. The news revealed at the event was an unofficial interpretation concerning the announcement for Japan.
