Thanks @doom95, i followed the putty intuctions you posted in another tread:

with usb + putty, option 'i' should print INSTINCT, if not its a bad chip. might be simple to fix, else just request replacement

I used putty, but when i press "i" it sas "Unrecognized input, Press h for help"

Then i pressed "d" for diagnosis

This is the printout:

It asks to switch on the console
Then i press"d" again an this is what i get.

When i press "v" for modship board info, it says the "Board ID: SX Lite"

This is exactly the same thjing thats happening to me, im getting no reading from the reset point to ground, but im using diode mode,

exactly the same pattern as yours !

same readings effectively, I have made a post with detailed photos and a video similar to yours, im not going to post here but if you want to reference to see if there is anything different to mine, i guess it will all te the same to get the same error light

remived rest from the chip now im flashing yellow
Assuming you have no shorts on other some components the culprit can only be one of three things, dat0 or SP or just a faulty chip.

Yeah the fpga doesnt communicate, that much was already clear. what about those voltages?

Since it may be a fpga error should i try to get a refund for this chip?
I think the aliexpress shop is not listing anything at the moment, hope they didnt close down

u can check the SPI pins for soldering, they should be continuous (match colors)

no.... your clk point (D) is no good
Ive just took the flex cable away and wired straight to the motherboard and soldered that to the chip and got a reading of 740

so its connected to what its supposed to be , same error though

I've got a problem with an instinct install. I used to have the colour codes, but can't seem to find them on the net.

Flashes red twice
glowing purple
flashes orange ~13 times
glowing purple
boots into OFW

It was working fine for a day, then I dumped keys and restarted, now this.
Any clue what's going on here?

Could be the microsd card?
If it cannot find the hekate files it may boot to OFW

yeah, nothing you can do in this case except replace the chip

Not too sure if useful for anyone, I am getting the blinking red lights (7-8 at at time) but I can sort of get the chip to boot to hekate when I move the probe around the second on the 3 regulators pins left side and short some pins (side with the 3 legs) [was just checking voltages again before i removed the chip],
Probably not good for the switch so will not be doing this often.
It will boot into hetake a few times once i power on and off, but once i try to power on the switch again after a few minutes later, it just the has blinking red lights again.

I have ordered the black instinct NX chip (just so i dont have to desolder the CPU ribbon cable and can do a quick swap)

Guys plz help, I tried everything, using the flex cable, fly wires, thicker wire for dat0, and even using flex and connecting dat0 cable directly to the chip itself instead of the flex. I also reflashed the chip firmware and It still blinks yellow, purple, red, then boots to ofw.

the points diode values are:
3.3v = 0.85
D = 0.88
A = 0.84
C = 0.85
B = 0L

ok how do i reflash it? and can u have a look at my testing with multimeter is it correct

diode mode on multimeter to ground
Black lead to ground and red to each points

A/CMD 0.718 v
B/RST OL
C/DAT0 0.770
D/ CLK 0.766 v
3.3V 0.476 v
SP 1 0.029 v 17.7 ohms
SP 2 0.029 v 17.7 ohms

thanks

Hey ranma99vn

When you got your switch was working correctly, was your B/RST point still showing OL?
