Out of my huge library of about 8 snes games, Yoshis Island has this green vertical line problem on the file select screen, it wouldn't be a problem, but when I pause the game and exit the pause menu, this happens:

A minor nuisance, but last time when I tried to do a playthrough of Yoshis Island, the game instantly went black, and when I went to turn the game on again all my save files were deleted )=

I cleaned the outside of my cartridge (the bottom of it only since I don't have a special screwdriver to open up the SNES) but the problem still there =O.

Is it a problem with my SNES or my copy of Yoshis Island?

Why is it doing this?

Thanks.

dont make polls when you are asking for help with a problem... that's dumb..

get some cotton swabs and acetone (some nail polisher are made of acetone, make sure its perfume free and color less)

and clean the cartridge contacts with it... check for oxidation on the contacts.. i would also recommend you to check the console contacts even if it doesnt happen with other games..

Isn't acetone bad...? Nothing good happened when i used it lol. Wouldn't just rubber alcohol be enough?

my friend works with electronics and is very experienced on this things, used it and said it i could use it for clean boards... he used it to clean my ds lite mobo (there was some glue leftovers) when i asked him to repair the blown fuse...
are you sure you let it dry after you used it?

alcool is also ok, but be carefull to dont start fire xD

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
