Just as it is said on the op, nothing moreI can't figure out how to get this working. Is it the whole Half Life folder or just the folder that says 'valve' that I put in Xash3d?
I am a newb. Sorry.

Maybe you have to wait a little? I mean, it's not as fast as hell that it starts the gameAhh okay. When I go to 'new game' and then click 'normal' or any of the other difficulty options, nothing happens. It makes the sound like I am selecting it properly, just nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong?
Okay I will wait a couple of minutes for it to start. Thanks for helping me. I appreciate it.Maybe you have to wait a little? I mean, it's not as fast as hell that it starts the game
Just did as described. It crashes the system after pressing NORMAL or other in level select in the game main menu ((

You'd think people would be smart enough NOT to say this kind of thing out in the open. . .try getting the game from a piracy site, I did that and it works (Blue Shift + OpFor not working without cheats yet)

It works fine with the original games Valve provides on Steam. Clearly, somewhere along the lines, you missed something.

Has someone been able to disable autosave?
I set the autosave files in the SAVE folder to read only, but it crash the game :/
Yeah I tried that but autosaves are still being created.sv_autosave 0 should do what you want.
(But I thought there was an option somewhere in the settings ?)
Endgame7 said:Sorry to burst your bubble, but this only disables autosaves immediately following a new level load. Is does nothing to stop the several mid-level autosaves that each level has. Sorry
I did the later but seemingly crash the system, btw my game creates autosave0X.png instead autosave0X.tga, but I doubt that's the problem.kaktusss said:To prevent auto-saving, mark the following files as read-only in the hl2\SAVE folder: autosave01.sav, autosave01.tga, autosave.sav, autosave.tga
That's it
