When I boot it up it says "The software has closed because an error has occurred" and I just wanna rip my hair out because I did everything it said.

Also having the same issue, on 16.0.0 and Atmos 1.5.5, gave up for now

use the latest build (from the latest github) : https://github.com/FWGS/xash3d-fwgs/releases/tag/continuous
it works great on 17.0.0 | AMS 1.6.2 (BTW, I'm not able to launch Blue Shift or Opposing Force, something must be missing)

ps : now, valve folder needs to be next to xash's nro (and not in SD:\xash3D like with old builds)

Still not working for me, I have the NRO and valve folder on the SD card under switch and the xash3d folder seperate, can you please share a screenshot of your file structure so I can replicate this

SD:\switch\Xash3D ← contains xash.nro, .so files, etc.
SD:\switch Xash3D\valve ← I copied all files from Half Life (steam version) (wad, cfg, txt, lst, etc. + all sub-folders)

Working fine under firmware 16.1.0 and 17.0.0 (emuMMC) with AMS 1.6.2
At least for Half Life.

That's a question for the main Xash3D devs. But if "new content" is just the DM maps and MP models, then those probably already load in Xash.
