Would you still play consoles if you could customize your dreams?

You stay conscious in your dream and before sleep you can modify your dream to anything you want.

(is it me, or are questions in this section getting more silly every day?)

Okay, I know of lucid dreams, know what dreams are and what they aren't. But let's set that aside and pretend I can just get 8 extra hours of überrealistic video game pleasure for a moment (in other words: ignore everything in which games differ from dreams).
I still would play video games:

-video games have a sense of achievement and overcoming obstacles
-video games relax me much more than sleeping
-it has multiplayer

I admit it: I thought the list would be longer. Of course I could add more, but then I'd have to point out differences between dreams and games. And I feel that that time would be wasted on proving something I already know and won't convince anyone anyhow.

Yes, and trained. But most people does not have that time or skill.
So...do YOU still play console games? :tpi:

There could be multiplayer and you do not need to worry about graphic, it will be most realistic that easily put the most high end gaming pc to shame.

Yeah. Spiritual training takes a little preparation and I would like to see how other people imagine things.

Fully in control lucid dreams..great. modify it to anything you want before you go in...great. But what's to stop my sub-conscious from bulldozing my perfect dream and twisting it into something else. People have lucid nightmares and only being able to set the starting parameters doesn't guarantee a good time! :P On the other hand, having total control, knowing everything that's going to happen, and being able to change anything at will would get boring really fast.

Anti-nightmare, and access able for people without experience. Not intended for epiphany.
Sad how Catholics forbids spiritual training when it is critical in both early Christian and Judaism.

Oh wait I forget to say that you can play video games in your dream.

To paraphrase Yahtzee, I prefer my entertainment to be designed and crafted by skilled artists than by a clueless dilettante (i.e., me).

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
