Who cares? Well if nobody cared this wouldnt be a discussion right now. If you dont want to hear arguments, this is exactly the kind of threads you should avoid.
And I can deal with it. But then pirates can also deal with criticism. I will point out the hypocrisy of people doing it and coming up with a billion reasons as to why they have to do it. It's an argument that works both ways. If you pirate modern games, you arent showing support, and you are hurting the sales if you were going to buy it. It doesnt matter how much.
Also, you last argument is typically where some people draw the line. I personally think its ok to do it, because it wont hurt the sales in this specific case.
Because breakings ToS is not necessarily seen as unethical if it doesnt hurt the sales (for some of us). They upset Nintendo BECAUSE it opens the doors to piracy, hence why you can be against it, but its perfectly possible to be against piracy in general, while in favor of modding, without being hypocritical.
Generally, if you're like "i have the money for it but id rather spend it on something else that I cant pirate" you're effectively hurting the sales, in addition to being ethically shady.
