Hello

Most of you outthere probably will hang me for posting this, but I like to think out of the box:

What if the keys required to decrypt are located in the gamepad, instead of the console?

What if we've been looking for them in the wrong place?

I'm not trying to be disrespectful with no one, it's just an opinion, because I've been following the scene progress on the WiiU, and nobody though about it.

I hope somebody thinks like me, since the working process of the WiiU is quite different.

First of all, it's far fetched. How would that even work? The WiiU has support for multiple GamePads, but Nintendo doesn't sell them and no games support multiple GamePads yet. According to your logic, you would now have two sets of keys.

The only stuff that are in a GamePad are a screen, a small storage chip (read: Quick Start menu), buttons (and NFC/IR) and the chip used to decode the 5GHz video signal.

Common keys are located in the one time programmable area accessible from the dedicated ARM security processor.
This.

How would that even work? Either the key would have to be send wirelessly to the console every time (lol security disaster) or the gamepad will have to do all the decrypting, and I doubt it has the processing power for that.

How big could be a Key, in terms of bytes? Again, I'm just thinking out of the box, not trying to offend anyone.

Well I'm assuming 256 bits.
However it's already known where the keys are. Streaming the keys like that is also rather insecure.

Disconnect the battery in the gamepad and the system and games still work (obviously you then need to use an alternate controller and a game that supports more than just the gamepad). Clearly no needed keys in there.

only ps5 updated to latest firmware can go on psn, jailbroken ones just don't use psn or they risk getting flagged or banned, altho spouting profanity in online play alredy does that
