Ykno that song about having high apple pie in the sky hopes? Thats what I have. I'm STOKED to see how things with be in say by mid summer.

Also **Updated** If we could run android-based apps and such, there would be some pretty amazing things that could be done with it. My big thing is skype. especially if it could be run in the background.

We could essentially create our own WiiStationOne at that point

PCSX2 hasn't even been ported to other OS yet (x86 windows and linux only!) so I doubt it will be ported to Wii U.

No worries.
I just think those games would greatly benefit from the GamePad screen.
Image having the whole screen just for the action, no ammo counter, health, etc.
Ammo, health, armor counters and the map being left solely on the Gamepad Screen.
That would be just... AWESOME!

Oh and don't forget about MAME too.
Really important emulator.

the only thing mentioned so far that i no would not be possible is the ps2. everything else should be more then capable

definitely.
It would run in -1 fps.
Since it is calculated using signed integers, it yould jump to 65535 FPS

=> VERY fast ps4 emulator

Yeah, that basically. Mod Android to take advantage of the Wii U's hardware, and create a Wii U like GUI.

Exactly! There was someone here who completely dismissed the idea of porting Android as soon as it was suggested, stating "it's only good if it can play games". Like there's no other use for it.

Basically it just makes it easier to do certain things, like you could access the SD card in the browser for a homebrew launcher vs streaming over the network, or really anything to do with files such as a media player or Cafiine. It also lets us do stuff with cafe2wii and other Starbuck binaries.

Yes... In fact I was thinking about crypto stuff, but I forgot Wii U common key was leaked. They did a worst crypto than on the 3DS (hardware key scrambler, it's impossible to know the actual key : leak is impossible).

I'm assuming you're talking about me, so: Yes, it sounds like a good idea in concept, especially if it's temporarily loaded to memory (like sun/moonshell) and you always have the alternative of using the official loader, but many people in the homebrew community also want to play the games that they payed for, and to permanently turn a $300 HD system into what IS basically an OUYA sounds a bit extreme...

I think that I'd enjoy android, no doubt about it. and that having it as something like sun/moonshell would probably be what i'd go for, but having it in the background if possible would be great too.

Who's talking permanently? I'd be content with having it in the background or launch from a loader or something.
