Hardware Wii U Gamecube Adapter for vWii games like Brawl?

Hi, it's been some time since anyone has asked this question and a lot has changed in the homebrew seen since then so now I am curious. Is there any way to use the Wii U USB Gamecub adapter on vWii games such as Brawl or Mario Party 8? Thanks!

Brawl is still a lot of fun if you're playing a Project M mod.

I'd like to know this as well. It's been a while since I looked into this, but it's one of the two things that has me using my old Wii instead of vWii (the other thing being that it's difficult to have a single HDD on the Wii U for it and vWii).

I don't remember the hacker who said it, but because of the nature of wii games running on bare metal with all dependencies compiled together, a patch of the gamecube controller read method can not be made game independent like the redirection of Wii U gamepad reads to HID controllers for Wii U games.
The work needed would not be worth it for them I guess.

You cannot, however, you can just use the gamecube controllers by Nintendo that go into the wiimotes.
