The Wii, NES and SNES all received mini refreshes. But the N64 and gamecube didn't. I think that answers my question, but what's your thoughts?

It's within Nintendo's best interests to just forget that the Wii U ever happened and focus on making the Switch as successful as they can. I don't see a "Wii U Mini" ever coming out in the future.
Ummm... seriously. If they would refresh the Wii U, it would become a XXL Nintendo DS with modern nintendo software on it and more powerful than ds lite
